Did you guys know that (according to http://www.speedrun.com/mc) the current world record for vanilla is 6 minutes and 37 seconds? That's pretty insane if you ask me. The All Achievements category was run recently at the last SGDQ which was pretty neato.

I'm personally into running CTMs like the Super Hostile maps. I actually hold the world record for Sunburn Islands currently, fun fact.


Anyway, discuss speedruns here, whether it be vanilla or custom map runs.

So that your video? if so that is really cool, how did you get so good. I would never be able to do that

Yup, that's mine. I used to not be that good, but I just practiced and watched other people do runs and eventually got good. Though I'm still not as good as some people, if you really want to see a truly incredible run, Youtube search "Minecraft Legendary speedrun" and watch Psycho crush Legendary in 49 minutes.

that's awesome, have you ever tried fast paced minecraft parkour. I think its amazing how people can do parkour so good slowly, but fast paced parkour that just blows my mind. This is my expression when I see people who are awesome at fast-paced MC parkour

Never tried it, but I've seen speedruns of Diversity 1 and 2 which have parkour segments in them and it is pretty crazy. They had to have practiced a ton to be that good at it.

Quick question in your first post you said SDGQ and CTM what do those stand for?

SGDQ is Summer Games Done Quick. It's a speedrunning marathon that happens every year. Awesome Games Done Quick is in the beginning of the year and Summer Games is near the end of summer. You can read in more detail on the website: https://gamesdonequick.com/

CTM is Complete the Monument, it's the type of map that Sunburn Islands is. You go around dungeons and collect an objective (usually wools) and place them on the monument to win.

you should try caverns of chaos I think that's the name, its a really hard monument map
