I don't see why it can't have a separate thread. This topic is more for general discussion of the game itself, and maybe techniques of level design. People's actual levels are going to get lost if you try to dump them all here anyway, so I think the other thread was fine.

Pretty much what I thought. Sorta.

To me, it's similar to why we have subforums... in a way.











But then again, I would expect it to have been moved into "Nintendo," if at all. It was made by them, but I wasn't sure how unrelated my thread was as an idea.

I only got to play with it for about a week before I moved out. In that time, I managed to unlock all the sets and play through the 10-Mario Challenge and all 100-Mario Challenges. I know you can skip levels if you don't feel like playing them, but I have to say that there's way too many ♥♥♥♥ levels out there that are marked as "Expert" because they don't rely on a challenge of skill and rather a challenge of trial and error. I'll be honest, I think that's OK as long as you look for them yourself, but when it's in an Expert 100-Mario Challenge, it's really damn frustrating.

I myself got a few levels out there, though they aren't all that good. If you want to play them regardless, you'll have to hunt down the codes on my Miiverse page (too lazy to find them atm).

All the levels I posted this far:

Walljump Caves (1C93-0000-0020-27AA): No power-ups, it is a level that ask very good timing and walljump skills

Athletic Highway (8C35-0000-0022-6A7F): Normal athletic level

Armada Boarding (EB79-0000-0023-7740): A standard airship level

Ruined Pathway (3B12-0000-0025-F0F8): An lenghty level in a ghost house

Overworld First Run (EC23-0000-004C-1BEC): My level that was slightly reworked to make it longer

Spring Action (Revisited) (6F7A-0000-004C-1C5D): A reworked level that involve lots of springs. Try to finish it as one.

Darkstone Castle (Revisited) (B327-0000-004C-1CC3): My first castle level that has been reworked

Zigzag-ing Ride (C88D-0000-004C-1D42): A SMW level with a ride across Parakoopas and Bullet Bills

Winged Sunken Treasure (R) (E80E-0000-004C-1DA7): An underwater level I reworked to make it longer and added autoscrolling

A-mazing Mansion (B03F-0000-004C-1E35): Go to the end of all four paths to unblock to way to the exit.

Man, I hope I get stars soon enough to be able to post more levels at once.

How should I feel, having cleared the "Expert" 100 Mario Challenge thirty times? It made me lose 2000+ lives, though. (At least half of that was because of stupid "trial & error" levels.)


P.S. And I've had my third level up for a day or so before re-uploading it to tweak some things.


P.T. Apparently, (almost) everybody playing this game sucks at platforming. Has anybody else noticed that?

I should be getting this game fairly soon. I already have a fair amount of level ideas already, so I'll work on them during the upcoming holidays :P

also "P.T." JJJ? That doesn't really make sense: "P.S." stands for "Post Scriptum" so I guess a correct term for a second P.S. would be P.P.S. or something like that

YES, PLEASE. I need the stars, I have some levels I can't post because of the 10 levels limit I have until the 50-stars medal.

Also, do you guys use semi-hard blocks in SMB1 levels to add background like I do? I think it adds to the single color background.
