My Wii is 4.3 or higher (Haven't checked, but I know its at least 4.3), and I don't have Homebrew OR BootMii.

Since I need the bootmii for a .elf file, but I have higher versions than these, am I screwed over?

if you have brawl (which you do) NTSC version, you can use smash stack. but be warned: YOU MUST HAVE NO CUSTOM STAGES IN THE WII, YOU MUST DELETE THEM.

Where do I access the HackMii Installer archive then?

5 Move "boot.elf" from the HackMii Installer archive to the root of your SD card.

It wasn't colored red, nor green, so I'm assuming that you have to do this no matter which game you have.

Downlaod it from bootmii.org, if you mean that.

If you mean how to start it, follow the instructions for Smash Stack on the first page, then just go into the Stage Builder in Brawl. Done.
