In my copy of White, when I first saw a wild Vanillite, it was love at first sight, maybe because I liked Ice-types, maybe because it looks like ice cream. Later, after it had evolved into a Vanillish, I was trying to get it to evolve once more into a Vanilluxe, and get it ready for the Pokémon League, when I realized something about my Vanillish. I don't know about the other stats, but Vanillite and its evolutions have really low HP, or at least compared to my other party members (I believe they were Dewott/Samurott, Keldeo, Herdier/Stoutland, Archeops, and some other Pokémon, I forget which it is). So I now dislike the Vanillite evolution line, even though if I were a gym leader, I'd specialize in Ice-type Pokémon.

tl;dr: Vanillish sucks.

Vanilluxe only has base 71 HP, so it isn't exactly the best. It's defensive stats aren't brilliant either, but not too bad.

Manaphy, Shaymin, Phione, Victini, Celebi. Why are these even legendaries?

Shaymin is a legendary.
Infact, all the legendaries you stated are my favourite legendaries. I don't like the big bulky legendaries. Boring.

Where did you hear this? Because I know for a fact that Shaymin is, in fact, a legendary Pokémon. So does Raz. Here are several sources saying that shaymin is legendary.

I assumed since Shyamin was in a multiple supply (well, according to an anime movie. I never actually got to the point in D/P where you encounter one) that it wasn't legendary.

There have been other instances where there are multiples of one legendary (well, so says the anime).

I don't mean to sound rude, but you don't encounter Shaymin in D/P. Shaymin is an event-only Pokémon.

If you have Oak's Letter, which was given out from Sept. 28, 2009 to Nov. 8, 2009 (North America). After you get it, Prof. Oak will be waiting for you on Route 224 in the northernmost area. He will explain toyou that the white rock there is present for a person to note what they are most thankful for, and on inspection of it, the player will be able to enter whatever they may desire (the entry system is the same as that for Pokémon nicknames). After this has been done, the Seabreak Path will appear, and a Shaymin will come down from it before returning north to the Flower Paradise, where it can be caught at level 30.

Or you can trade.

Anyways, I don't know about main-series games, but I never liked Shingen's Rhyperior in Pokémon Conquest. His low range makes it hard to get him anywhere quickly. And its move, Rock Wrecker. You'd think that a long-range move like Rock Wrecker would be good for a long range Pokémon. But to use Rock Wrecker on a Pokémon, you need to be exactly three spaces away from the target, and it's low range makes it hard to get to exactly where you need to be, especially when you're target is constantly moving.
