Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gates To Infinity

Postby Bomberman101 » December 30th, 2012, 9:00 am

Well if you check nintendo and pokemon's websites you'll hear about PKMN Mystery Dungeon Gates to/of Infinity.
I heard about this in Gamefly News and i'd post a link but i'm on the 3DS.
Anyway, it turns out the game is not too far from release and is coming out March 2013. The game's going to be for the 3DS and will have the pkmn rumble graphics.

I looked at a screenshot, and I'm disappointed. It looks completely different from what I'm used to, and I love the old fashion of it. Transforming it into a model based game and not sprites would ruin it for me. Get it right, Nintendo. I'm not buying it.

Me too... Hopefully it will have a deep story like D/T/S. Otherwise it's not worth a buy.

I for one think the new models look pretty nice. People need to know that 3DS games are going to tend to make full use of their 3D capabilities, and using models instead of sprites is the best way to do so.

(Also if you think Nintendo is going to change anything about their game because people are complaining about it, you're going to have a bad time. Fanboys are going to buy the game because they've played the others, and for the most part Nintendo usually knows what they're doing.)

Believe me, Mystery Dungeon is my second favorite series, first being Zelda. To me, it just doesn't seem right.

I think it's a good idea. Reading more into it, the terrain types seem interesting (weren't the other PD games flat, with just land, water, and lava? This is implying new random generation, taking advantage of the 3D modeling), though the magnagate doesn't exactly seem like a new concept.

Also, it's not like the pokemon models are crappy, like some N64 game; They look fine and smooth. What's the problem?
I still want to see Kanta, Sinnoh, and the other regions in 3D.

I don't mind the graphical change, either. I will say that from the Japanese gameplay footage I've seen of it so far, it will be a lot more detailed than the WiiWare Mystery Dungeon titles that Japan got.

What I miss from the older Mystery Dungeon games is the personality quiz. I know a couple of people who don't care for them, but me and a few others liked it. Also, there being only 5 Pokémon to chose from is a little dissapointing to me. I do like the co-op system that will be available. Now I won't have to shuffle through the thousands of menus to make my AI partner to maybe do what I want it to.

I might as well put up one of the Japanese trailers for those interested.

Japan also got a couple of anime trailers, not really full-out episodes like the previous titles did.
