I'm pretty excited about this game I'm not sure if I'll pick this up befor ocarina of time, but this is on my list. I hope they use the painting thing in many cool ways (like that one dungeon where you could go out the window :D). However I'm not sure if I'm a fan of them, basically, 'copying' ALttp world. I hope they make it quite different (maybe add fortresses to make Hyrule seem more secured, or some abandoned towers with hidden heartpieces (not more caves and caves, though the icerod cave was cool :awe: --*shot*)).

Yes, that is exactly what I want. It would also make sense on the 3DS, since OoT came out for it.

So, I wanted to say something about the placement in the timeline with this game:: show
While a straight up assumption would be that this game comes in the "Hero's Defeat" timeline, and after A Link to the Past (Because of it's name and all), but I actually think that it would go to the "Hero is Successful - Child Era" somewhere near Majora's Mask events. Here's why:

- There is a Majora's Mask in a shop, but that's the obvious one.

- So somewhere near the stone tower temple, there are these blocks. As I recall, when you turn them upside down, you can see the triforce, but upside down. This could actually have something to do with the Lorule world from "A Link between Worlds", since an upside down triforce is also in that game.

- Also in Majora's Mask, Ganon is "executed", and with the whole Alternate-Ganon thing and the fact that Ganon never appears in that timeline again, could mean that Ganon will not be in that game. In The "Hero's Defeat" timeline Ganon is always revived.

However saying all this, we could also assume that Majora's Mask and Lorule exists before the timeline split (In times of OoT) and that it would also exist in all 3 timelines, thus the mask being simultaneously in MM and AlbW, and the upside down Triforce being in both MM and AlbW.

A Link to the Past was one of my favorite 2D Zelda games, so when this comes out, I think I'll get it, but doesn't the whole flat power thing seem out of the ordinary?

Meh, whatever works for them...

Just got the game today, and I'm loving it so far. The whole flat power thing makes for very intricate puzzles, and I've gotten stuck a few times, only to realize I had forgotten I can do that. Go figure.

I beat the game today and I gotta say, even though there was a bit that was almost too easy to figure out, there was a twist I didn't expect. Loved the ending however. Definitely recommend picking it up, especially if you're a fan of Link to the Past.

Just don't rely too much on any LttP instincts you might have. I made that mistake on one of the bosses and got my ♥♥♥ killed. Only death in the whole game, and it was out of stupidity. Go figure.

Speaking of deaths, I started a new game on Hero Mode and guess where my first death was? First dungeon, to an arrow-shooter. Of all the stupid things to die to, it had to be a predictable one. Of course, had I remembered to buy a shield beforehand, I probably would have survived, but noooooo, I had to forego that, thinking "Ah, this can't be too hard." Smh.

Didn't post because I was too busy working on my 100% normal mode. Missing 1 Maiamia and 3 heart pieces right now. After I get them I'm starting on a 100% Hero mode run.

I'm just taking some time off to say LASERS SHOOTING FROM MY SWORD, NO HAND HOLDING, 5 BOTTLE MADNESS! GAME OF THE YEAR, THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT.

I bought this game yesterday. It was amazing how after 5 minutes I got a sword and was ready to kill ♥♥♥♥. Already beat the 2 real temples (The water one and the one where the eastern palace is). I like it so far, there's lots of shtuff to do, the muymuys (or whatever they're called, the Locoroco name is close enough), heart pieces etc.

Inb4 a sarcastic comment on how in Zelda 1 you got the sword within 5 seconds.
