I think the IGN review does need to be called out, if only because it read like this wasn't the game he wanted, complains about how it doesn't feel fast enough and doesn't go into detail about many of the other features (such as soundtrack). It's so different than what someone like José or Rich had been saying in previews.

Then you get the Destructoid review, which just gives you all the information you want and need.

Beat the game two days ago, and I can say I agree entirely with the Destructoid review. I'd also like to make a point about the lines - it's usually Sonic throwing banter at the Deadly Six, and then there's the occasional Cubot line. Regardless of who it was it was damn good.

Got a chance to play the first level while briefly at a friend's house today. In terms of that 5-minute experience, I don't think I will like this as much as Sonic Generations, but I think that the play style may grow on me if I play it more.
