I see a lot of complaints about this... but as for me I think this could have a lot of potential.

...Knuckles on steroids will take some getting used to, though...

Also, this is separate from the Modern Sonic games, for those who don't know, so if for whatever reason you don't like this, don't worry, the whole franchise isn't ruined. Sonic Boom is something completely separate from it.

For me, I don't like all the new designs for the characters and not just Knuckles (but he does look the most different out of all of them), though Tails appears to be the most consistent with his previous design. I'm kind of interested and also a little frightened about how this game will turn out since nothing's been revealed. I was honestly surprised to see that Sonic will be getting a new TV series, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Never been a big fan of sonic and looks like I never will be, but yes, tails looks awesome. Mainly because tails is the only character I've ever really liked.

Glad I'm not the only one who agrees. I think Tails might become my favorite character now.

Now that I'm over a couple of weeks past the initial shock of the new designs, I think that they are alright, though I still think Knuckles is incredibly glaring. I don't mind the fact that they thickened his muscles so now he seems more like a powerhouse, but it's the fact that he's now about twice as tall as everybody else is incredibly awkward.

The other thing I don't get is why everyone has bandages? Is it some sort of new trend for "cool?" Strangely enough, I think this works for Knuckles, especially once a friend brought up the fact that many boxers and wrestlers have bandages on their hands even with gloves on.

Also, I heard that the reason that they chose the "alternate universe" path with this is because they wanted to flesh out the characters some more, so that they are not known for just one thing, or sit idly in the background, which I like. I think it works much better for this since the TV show would be as stale as Sonic X.
