They could expand levels with a DLC, but remember that they have a release date and multiple projects going on at the same time.
Expect something cool here soon!

This game really looks like Nintendo had fun making it. It strives to be more experimental and playful, more than following a formula, like NSMBU did. I like that, and respect it even if it's not that challenging. Though they should expand their levels to lengths of galaxy IMO. Why cut down fun? ORr add more levels per world.

I think that the beat block level looks pretty damn challenging and it's world 4 only, I'm scared of the later levels.

And some level look incredibly huge, bigger than some galaxies, so I wouldn't say anything about the size yet

What? You're scared of a beat block level early in a mario game? That's just a one off. Kinda like in Mario Galaxy. Also true, that sunset level looks massive, but other ones.. eeh? They are bigger than 3D land, but Galaxy? Not so sure...

you can't tell me that galaxies like the Drip Drop Galaxy, Bigmouth Galaxy, Flipswitch Galaxy or Sweet Mystery Galaxy are huge, can you?

also, I'm not scared of a beat block level, it just looks harder than your average early-mid game Mario level nowadays
