That picture. So... It has 2 cameras on the back, capable of capturing 3D photos, but you can't view them in 3D? What.
Taking away the hinges ruins the whole idea for me. I get that it's meant for more casual/younger players but it completely takes away from the DS feel. I would probably never be able to get used to the controls being on the middle-top either, with the R/L on the very edge. But that's just me, I have a 3DS anyway. There's no point in getting a 2DS.
2D is fine though, because I never used it anyway plus it's probably better health-wise. My 7 year old cousin has a 3DS, always has 3D on full and about 3 inches from his face when he plays, I don't think that's very good for your eyes. I'm glad the 2DS an option, not having to set up parental controls and such (I feel like no one reads the manual of new things but me) and paying extra for something you won't be using.
