That must explain the feeling (and I am in fact enjoying it too, having played it.).
Anyway, I actually got Kirby: Triple Deluxe yesterday, and blowing approximately 9 hours of my life (in a single, unhealthy playthrough) to clear my way through the final boss felt accomplishing, though it has made the game's lifetime shorter because of it... and I shouldn't have spent all that time within a single day, tbh. :/
This game is heavily addictive, yet highly enjoyable, but I personally find Kirby Fighters to be a little too tormenting when you first start. I barely passed Normal on Sword, and now I'm afraid to move up another two difficulties there. I think that mode should be nerfed a bit, especially considering how much the difficulty can spike. (Note that that was the only ability I have used on Normal so far, however.)
Essentially, I do like Kirby Fighters, but the fact that I had trouble on just the Normal difficulty gives me a bad feeling of incompetency when Easy was already a cinch. The problem seems to in part come from the large room for error alongside the designs of several stages (especially those with tight passages--AND THAT DIFFICULTY SPIKE. I seriously didn't expect that. Maybe I should being practicing more in this mode, but I've been doing so freaking good on Easy just to be toyed around with in Normal... I mean seriously. Now I'm afraid to play it on Multiplayer...
I haven't gotten very far yet in DededeTour, but I'm personally feeling a little intimidated by the fact that I am forcefully evaluated by my completion time in each level without being able to replay them until the end. That really makes me more nervous about making mistakes.
tl;dr: I like the additional game modes, but I'm afraid to share any best times, especially when it's automatic--and I like using Streetpass on all games. I am also intimated by the very large margins of error in Kirby Fighters, unfortunately. I have not tried the Arena or Drum games yet, but I'm... still uneasy about how much trouble I had with Kirby Fighters when I thought I was going to do very good after my lifetime of experience with many, many other games.
tl;sdr: I cannot simplify this any further.
Overall, still an awesome game.
