Apparently there are several references to the Hoenn region in Pokemon X and Y. Curiously, one says "You'll see it in due time."

Imagine the Hoenn region with X and Y's features. One of the Lilycove department store floor will probably be remade into a clothing store, if a new floor isn't going to be added. I'm curious how the acro bike will be changed, what with all the 'secret' paths, especially around route 119. Secret bases will be fun to design as well, assuming Gamefreak doesn't remove any RSE features. I also hope they keep the original Pokemon Contests as well; DPP's were kinda silly from what little I've played of that generation. And the Ocean Current? That'll be fun to traverse with virtually free movement.

Or maybe not.

If they do revisit hoenn, I would prefer something along the lines of BW2 than a remake. We've been there and we can still transfer the pokemon from there (hence Kanto and Johto remakes), but a game that takes place further along in time could be interesting.
