It was called and has come. Whether or not it's a remake or some sort of semi sequel has yet to be confirmed, but the next pokman game is here (in november).
Edit: Confirmed full remake by Iwata in financial briefing.
The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced today that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will launch worldwide in November 2014, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Pokémon fans will collect, battle, and trade Pokémon in a new adventure.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which launched in 2003 and were fan-favorite hits on the Game Boy Advance system. The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world.
Be sure to visit Pokemon.com frequently for more Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire news and information that will roll out leading up to the worldwide launch in November.

I can only say... YES! Where is the Emerald Version though? And how will they do the Latios/as events and other ones. Ah, whatever. I hope they don't screw up the soundtrack like they did in HG/SS.

I did, but R/S/E games had the split-storyline thingy. One game you have team magma as the villans, the other aqua, and emerald had both, so that is where the confusion comes from.
Second, I did not like how they remade the soundtracks in these games. Call me crazy, I liked the "beeps and bops" of the Game Boy Colour version better. There is just something about the DS soundtrack that sounds... off. For example, I'm not a fan of the new Violet/Olivine city. Just my opinion, you can like what you want.

I don't really remember the story (because it's not that memorable) but emerald had both teams. It's gonna be the same thing.

I guess that's true. Emerald did have an extra dungeon involving Team Magma though, I'm interested if they add that place in the game with Team Magma as the enemies, instead of the place where you fight team Aqua. Also secret bases are a thing that they could use. That could be interesting.
