high hopes and dreams have been absolutely demolished

Though Mario Party 9/10's not a bad game, just not a great Mario Party game. :c

remind me to never sell my Mario Party 6/7/DS.

I thought that MP8 was OK, though a lot of the mini-games that required some rapid motion like shaking the Wii remote weren't that good at reading said motions. The lighting for that game also seemed a little weird for me, since it made a lot of the colors darker.

It worked for me. Not sure how. =u=

MP6 remains my favorite of all time though.

This^

I always enjoyed playing that version in particular, maybe for me it was the maps, but I also liked the day night cycles as well. I used to play 50 turn party mode matches all the time. I'd end up increasing cpu difficulty and challenging myself from time to time. Had some good times with that game.

As for the newest installments, I can't say I enjoy them. I never really liked the new means of transportation around the board in 9, it ends things way too quickly and is too "one-way" for my tastes. Also, they add in amiibo support to play dumbed down versions of boards just to play classic Mario Party gameplay in MP10? Not exactly thrilled, kinda wished the old gameplay would make a good comeback at some point.

Not that I have a good reason to care about the recent changes though, I won't be able to get a Wii U till way after March anyhow...
