I can't say for sure, but I think that a system transfer also brings your NNID over as well, but if not (for whatever reason), then I hope that the re-registering process isn't too complicated.

I'm honestly not sure if I want to get a New 3DS XL. I mean it would be nice, especially considering I've been having some issues with my current XL, but I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble of moving my data over and possibly having complications and such. Really depends on how much trade-in value GameStop will give me for my old XL.

I may just wait and see if the New 3DS will come out in the US and see if those are going to be any cheaper.
