Let's rip this to shreads:

You can't make sub areas
You clearly haven't used the transition + pipe/door correctly then. Literally the same effect.newsuperhackboys wrote:You have to collect Star Coins to get all the tilesets. (I find it unfair, because at least Super Mario Maker came with a patch that you can use the already unlock the items if you want to. Plus, you could wait.)
Wrong. You can enter a cheat code which allows you instant access to everything the game offers, not to mention there is a standalone LD, with everything unlocked already.newsuperhackboys wrote:You can only play as Mario or Luigi. (I think you can play as Luigi?) In Super Mario Maker, you can chose over 100 characters.
Skins =/= characters. In SM63 Luigi actually does play differently. In SMM you have only 1 character = Mario. It's cool that you get skins and crap for playing the game, but calling them characters is too far, especially since they can only be used in 1 gamemodenewsuperhackboys wrote:Super Mario Maker:
Pros:
Official Nintendo Game
This is just like saying "SM63 is bad because nintendo didn't make it"newsuperhackboys wrote:It is on the underrated Wii U (but that is my opinion)
Again, does it matter whether it's on the WiiU or a potato? How is that a thing that should impact whether the creator/game is better or not?newsuperhackboys wrote:Music plays and you can see the background.
Background IS in SM63 and you have youtube. Seriously.newsuperhackboys wrote:You can change from any Mario Game theme.
Dumbed down versions of each theme, but that is a cool thingnewsuperhackboys wrote:It fixes glitches and adds new things every month or year. (Runouw hasn't really added more stuff, other than Super Mario 63 Story Mode changes like the intro)
Because the game is really freaking old? Someone needs to remind me in like 10 years to reply in this thread and check whether nintendo is still updating SMMnewsuperhackboys wrote:Sub Areas
Incredibly limited sub areas which can just as easily be created in SM63newsuperhackboys wrote:Doors
Dang, what's that under the Sling Starnewsuperhackboys wrote:Keys
That is legitimately coolnewsuperhackboys wrote:Skewers
I'd reccommend playing around with fire + moving blocksnewsuperhackboys wrote:Upload Online
Because this forum doesn't have a section dedicated to custom user levels right?newsuperhackboys wrote:Music Levels
Aka. Star generator? Right behind auto levels? Why is cheap and dumb level making rewarded instead of thoughtful, designed levels? You also forgot the biggest draw over SM63, and reason why many limitations of this game exist: 60 constant fpsAlso combinations of items and crapCons:
newsuperhackboys wrote:They didn't add the Volcano and Snow Themes.
And you know, sand, jungle, star, forest, sky...newsuperhackboys wrote:The Community Levels are better than Nintendo's.
Some levels here I dare say are better than Runouws. Again, why is that a con? It's meant to be an exhibition of what the program is capable of.newsuperhackboys wrote:The community's levels are usually really crappy because they are really just walk and jump.
Or you know, just not move because it's a music level or an auto level. Also, what did you expect from a Mario game?newsuperhackboys wrote:You have a limit on uploading levels
So we don't get 100000 spam levels and so Nintendo can sit back in their chairs and let the flawed star system 'fix' everything for them? Speaking of stars, popularity = stars.newsuperhackboys wrote:Nintendo wasn't the first think about this idea.
Again, con why? Just because someone else did it you can't do it?newsuperhackboys wrote:While I never played LBP, it looks and might play better than Super Mario Maker.
True, but comparing to something isn't really a con.newsuperhackboys wrote:Nintendo will claim your fair use video. (I get it, your from Japan and they don't have fair use laws, but we are from the US!)
Con for the game because...?newsuperhackboys wrote:Nintendo will delete your stage if it breaks the rules. But sometimes they won't mention why.
Aka. Always?SM63 even though is really crappy about loading times and other technically related stuff, offers me more freedom than just creating a standard Mario bros style level. If I want a time limit in my level, I can do it. If I want to make an adventure level, story level, whatever. I can do it. Whereas SMM confines you to the one formula Nintendo has been sticking to for how many years now? It's not as overwhelming as LL at times, but just the moving blocks, more item looks, themes which can be combined, red coins and lots of other things make SM63 infinitely more interesting for me.
