The Story Portal is now open!!!

So I just started submitting one of my stories to the portal. As such, I have some questions/suggestions:

1. Is there a way to edit chapters once they've been submitted? For example, I realized after my first several chapters were approved that the hr tags I had in the original story don't work, and so I'd like to edit them out. Also, I am planning on redoing a couple of segments and inserting some parts at some point down the road; as such, an edit chapter feature would come in handy.

2. Could there perhaps be a feature in which we could include a brief summary of each chapter? Kind of like what we have for the story as a whole except specific to each chapter…I think this would be a nice addition.

3. If we don't name our chapters, can this feature be made optional? Cause I just put "Chapter #" in that box for each chapter, but I just realized that now each chapter says "Chapter #: Chapter #," which is unnecessarily redundant. As an alternative for my most recent two chapters I just put a space for the title so that it wouldn't have a repetitive name, but consequently there's no way to just click a link at the top to jump down to that chapter. So yeah. Can that be worked on a bit?

4. Censors. Some stories (such as mine) have a good amount of explicit language. I would recommend that if you have censors enabled on the forums, this should in turn apply to the story portal.

5. So how do the staff picks work exactly?

One more thing. It says that the last update for my story is an hour behind what it actually should be. Is the Story Portal not syncing with Daylight Savings Time like the rest of the website?

Also, who wants to help me finish writing it? I'd like to hurry up and finish all three stories instead of leaving the reader hanging for months, like they have been.

Great job on the story portal, Suyo! It looks like it fits in perfectly with the the level portal. I may have to go in and add a staff pick for the level portal as well (Because it looks like top 10 scoring doesn't always work as it should)

Can you add the ability to delete stories without chapters yet? I just accidentally created a duplicate of an upcoming new story I'm about to write.

I haven't really had time to tinker around with the portal all too much, but despite a few things out of place, everything looks great. Excellent job on this Suyo--you too, MOY, for having the idea in the first place.

And about Ridder's idea, I'll reply with my own suggestion. I think users should be able to delete their own stories if they have no replies yet. Otherwise, Ridder, I'd say just post a chapter so it can appear on the panel and we can delete it.

The Portal is going pretty well so far; everything's functional, but I have a few problems with it, mainly about user friendliness. I don't know about everyone else, but I've found it difficult to navigate the pages. Most of the time, I had to rely on my browser's back arrow, meaning I had to deal with Confirm Form Resubmission and all that jazz. I guess the main problem is that it doesn't have a "Return to index" link on every page, which is pretty essential, if you ask me. Generally, the more navigation links, the better.

Also, I don't know if it's supposed to do this, but the Your Stories page has a link to Page 2, which leads you to a blank page of stories (according to the url, page 2 of the index?). I've been using this as link to the index page (as mentioned above), but maybe this is worth looking into.

Just one more thing, to the mods: Is there a way to approve all chapters of a story at once?
