It's lovely to hear that people like some of us but me and SuperMIC and Karyete aren't well-known at all and probably why we aren't liked as much. I think we're all capable of being level mods - because we all really care about the levels that go on the Level Portal. And plus three of the users liked the most have been LP Testers before and that's probably how they're known as upper-class designers. (by the way pretty much everyone who's applied so far and replied on this thread are good and capable of being level mods :awe: )

Btw I don't personally think my levels are as good as some by the users here and I know I'm up against some strong competition which means I'm gonna be truthful throughout from what I think, but my personality makes me a bit of a perfectionist, which means I really care about the levels that go on the Level Portal (therefore everything can be played perfect, really lol) and I really hate seeing downrated levels which are actually brilliant levels, and I hate seeing levels that are pointless and haven't had any thought or care into them whatsoever. And plus I'm very familiar with the level rules as I read all the forum rules before I signed up on Runouw. I think the ones who are most likely to get a level mod position are ones who really help others with their levels and contribute a lot in LDCs and are kind and honest in reviews, so kind in a way that they're not saying "oh your level's completely rubbish you shouldn't even bother" but honest so they're giving improvements and bad points when it's needed. (and equally giving enough good points)

Just thought I'd say.

Of course there's others who would make great Level Mods. I think most people are just most familiar with certain users over others because of their rapid-fire level posting strategies (not a bad thing, lol) and involvement in the chat and various sections of the forum. Hang in there, though. If you stick around long enough, people will come to recognize your full abilities.

Also... We've already got 5 (?) Level Mods. How many more are going to be taken, or do the current Level Mods have to reapply too?

I agree, though I think it's gonna be tough looking at some of the users signing up. I doubt I'll get in, seeing as some of the users signing up are just awesome, but I'm not giving up (although I'm on holiday all next week so I won't be replying for the whole of next week), I think I could get in if I carried on reviewing others levels on the new Level Portal after I'm back from holiday. The last thing I want is people thinking I won't be up for the job. Trust me, I'm up for anything if I feel that what I'm putting myself in for is going to help runouw.com.

Also, I think they only want 2 more. O.O

I don't know exactly how the staff are chosen, I think there's a secret poll or something in the Staff Forum section. But yeah, persevering is definitely the way to go.

If they're only accepting two, unfortunately, it's likely that the new LeMods will be more well-known users. Again though, Forum 23 is full of secrets (at least to us regulars) so you might end up with the position after all. It's not like this is the last time Level Mods will ever be chosen, so don't lose hope.

We can't reapply, it won't let us. If only as a joke..

5 level mods currently. The mods can do level moderating as well, but it's not the main part of their job. Just be your best, and then you may be considered for the job. :D

Y'know, that's not such a horrible* idea...having the Level Mods go "yes, I'd like to stay as a Level Mod" just to clarify that they want to remain as one and then we give the boot on the lazy rednecks that sit there and say nothing. : p

*horrible: or is it?

Wow MP3. I am extremely grateful that you stood up for me and Bread. I really agree with everything you said and... I'm almost speechless right now because I'm, as I already stated, extremely grateful for what you have done.

That being said, I think the opportunity would help us all... in fact, why would we only need one or two Lemons? Shouldn't we have a whole bunch? Think of it - everyone, users on Newgrounds, Sheezyart, and EVERYONE that creates SM63 and LL levels... that's at LEAST 100 people... moderated by only 7 or 8 people? That's extremely unrealistic. They move to the forums. We'd need more Moderators and Admins to control flame and such about people that just switched from easy-spamming LDP to a well-maintained LDP. In fact, I just realize this, this new LDP can affect the entire forums widespread.

I really didn't read through the entire discussion of the new LDP thread, so I'm not sure if this has been brought up already, but I just wanted to voice my opinion.

You forget about me. :( If they're not well-known, then what about me? I is just a crap of the crap. >_> I know I am the LP tester before...but obviously I'm not really contribute with it and no one ever recognize me. If you don't say those thing, I think I'm really transparent. Eh?

At least, give us a chance? We can't roundhouse kick the Runouw.com or whatever. :troll:

Mods, I was really contribute to my long reviews which I imitated SMIC. :troll: Anyhow, I had ever given time to my reviews, I am fond of reviewing. What is the best 'cost-effective'? It is our enjoyment of a job, if we don't like being appointed as a mod for doing something but just for coolness, how can we moderate our forums well?

@ Awesome:

TYVM for encouraging me. :D

Seconded. These guys are some of the best from the newer generation of Runouwnians.

Thirded.

Here's why:

Republic: Inn the short time he's been on the site, he's made levels that match the standards of some of the great level designers.
AwesomeJRFD: For obvious reasons. :troll:
Killswitch: He makes great levels. And even though he makes a big deal out of small things, we always need a perfectionist.
Star king: Do I really need to explain? :awe:

As for Republic, see the above. If Sax recommends you for the job, you will have a very good chance of being chosen.

EDIT:

I'm leaving for three weeks, so please don't take my temporary inactivity as a reason to not choose me. Thanks.
