Once upon a time, there was a chat on the site. But sadly there were so many people, it was too much load on the server so the site was taken down twice. The residents of Runouw town had to resort to other chats, Like Craptango or Mibbit, all of them not satisfying their needs. But a new era is about to begin.
After half a year in development, hopefully it'll be worth the weight.
I present to you: the new Chat!Q: But Suyo, won't that crash the server again?A: That's a good concern, but do not worry - the new chat works completly clientside. It runs on JavaScript and
PubNub instead of PHP and MySQL, so all the server is doing is send you the code, and that's it.
Q: The chat is not showing for me... where can I find it?A: There might be three problems:
-- 1) The chat is only available for people with more than 10 counted posts. If you have less, you won't see it.
-- 2) If you use the chat in a seperate tab, it will disappear from all others.
-- 3) Make sure you are logged in.
Q: Where is channel X? I AM GOING TO SPAM POINTLESS MESSAGES UNTIL YOU MAKE ITA: If you spam it, you ruined your chances for it ever being there. If you want a channel, try to find some people who share your interest and PM me.
Q: Are there any additional rules?A: Most forum rules apply, but obviously there are some more.
-- 1) There are channels for a reason. Go to #games to talk about games, to #valve for TF2, Portal and hats, and to #media for TV shows.
-- 2) Try to avoid randomly spewing out pointless stupid messages. You know who I am talking to. It disrupts currently ongoing discussions and just makes you look stupid.
-- 3) Obviously, in #coa these rules are void and the general insanity of the FoA takes over.
Q: I love you for doing this, please have my babies.A:
That's not a question I would like to, but there's no space in there besides brandos.
(in other news, stay tuned for more new things later today!)
