Last Legacy world map preview!

We decided to reveal some info about Last Legacy to show that we are still making progress on it (much more now that it's summer break). Here is a preview of what the overworld might end up looking like; you can click and drag the mouse to view more of the map.

The portals here represent the location of some of the levels we have planned. Also, we have an idea that for the near future we pick an area on the map and hold a level designing contest where people try to create the most fitting level. The winning levels may appear, in some form, in future versions of the game.

Note that the current engine for the character's movement is slightly outdated. In the final version, the character will have a double jump and ledge-grabbing ability, which will increase his max jump height by about 1 tile.

Ooohhh, complete with animations as well. From what Suyo has already said, it looks like you're going for a smash bros styled character engine which is awesome. Looking forward to the finished product, and maybe, helping outwith levels from the LDCs.

Looks great. Looking forward to the next update. Also, Runouw, there is one game breaking bug that has popped up for me only recently. It's if you use magic to remove or place tiles, the game will usually crash and force you to restart the computer. I've only tried it in Level Designer, but it's made the game unplayeble. I'm assuming this bug will be fixed in the next update?

It works perfectly fine for me.

Seems to be in only some circumstances, but not in general. I'm guessing Runouw has look at the bug topic, and has already fixed them so it's pretty likely you should be able to play when the next update comes.

Hmm.

*Looks in pants*

Scuse me, I seemed to have shat my pants.

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL.

Anyways, looks great right now, I'd just like to ask what the focus of your work is right now. Is it on the combat and gameplay or the story and contruction of the world?

I feel that the map is pretty interesting as it is. So, is there a general starting point for the map as of yet?
