Couple of comments on the gameplay.

First of all would it be possible to give the character a "falling off" animation when near the edge of a platform or ledge, similar to how you see in a lot of videogames these days, and the appropriate mechanic for the character to halt or stick to the ledge when it does so? I feel it'd be a great anti-frustration feature, because trust me, a lot of my frustration while playing the game came from that.

And also, giving the enemies stagger invincibility? What sort of treachery is this? Any way you could give them a faster reaction time upon attacking them instead of the invincibility? Because the way it is now it's less skill and more waiting enemies out when doing battle.

Finally, if that little Delta orb thingy was suddenly stuck against a wall, I found myself having to undo everything I had modified, getting rid of the wall it was stuck against, and push it out from the other side. Maybe give it a mechanic where it starts rolling in the appropriate direction depending on where you stand on it?

Just a little constructive criticism from my part, barely scratching the surface on what could be done to help improve, but well, that's what the rest of these people are here for.

I've had a quick play around, and from what I've seen it's very good. I may do a short reviewish post later with criticisms, suggested improvements and whatnot later, but for now know that this is great.

Just some minor niggles at the moment:
  • You have to click off the text for it to be applied. There isn't an 'Apply' button, so there were quite a few times where I just exited out, and came back to find the tag empty.
  • 'Select' is not enabled automatically. After years of use in SM63 and the older LL, it's just a little annoying when I click on something thinking that I should be able to select it, then don't.

  • The bottom right 'Create Block' button is redundant. I don't know if that's a placeholder for something else, but it's just there.
  • Creating a planet from a 2x2 or smaller tile space creates nothing. It still exists as I can select it, but it's only a horizontal line.

You can do this in the properties menu to a limit of 32. You can edit the code yourself to get higher, but it's not recommended as the game lags.

Don't you dare start.

On a brighter note, HOLY ♥♥♥♥ STORY MODE
HOLY ♥♥♥♥ WHAT GAME AM I PLAYING
HOLY ♥♥♥♥ THIS IS DIFFERENT
HOLY ♥♥♥♥ RUNOUW LET ME MAKE SWEET LOVE TO YOU

HOLY ♥♥♥♥ YOU LISTENED TO MY SUGGESTION OF BOULDERS ON SPIKES EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T THAT IMPORTANT

Question: What is the Start Position setting for the music? I want to use it.

Also really love the "pirate" look of the player. I still suggest that you can switch the look of the character and stuff.

I just finished playing the first story level, and it already seems like a different game. The physics and mechanics are updated and much better, as well as the graphics. Loving everything you've done so far, can't wait for more.

One issue that I've noticed is enemy invincibility. It takes so long to kill those knight guys that I usually find myself attacking and then running past them rather than killing them. Enemy invincibility is good as long as it isn't too long, and I think what it's at now is a bit too long.

EDIT: Found a bug in level 3. Delta down into the floor right next to the purple dot thing that's keeping you in the cell, grab the ledge, and climb up while holding right. You mysteriously die.

Also loving the way you can darken areas. Makes the level more mysterious and suspenseful. And I like how if you fall from a high spot, you get stunned for a second unless you're moving, in which case you roll. Reminds me a lot of Ocarina of Time.

This seems to have a lot of potential; I'm glad that it was updated at last. It is looking great so far.

    A few small things:
  • Please update the music tab. I didn't realize there was new music.
  • Checking the "use item tab" on a door crashes the game.
  • An official name for the main character, maybe? Made up by the fanbase? (us)
  • The rock monster was cool. I liked it. Why remove him?
  • Lava was buggy, yes, but I still say it shouldn't have been removed. Honestly I liked it, just not the fact that it couldn't hurt you.
  • Tables, but no chairs? Silly.
  • Please release the story level's codes so I can learn from them.
  • The subtitles thing doesn't work at all for me. For BY, it only works for 1 second then it stops.

I still, really love this and it was worth (most of it) the wait.

Y'know how everyone has been terribly impatient about this update?
I love how none of that applies now.

If anyone is having any trouble with subtitles, Runouw told me that you need to give the hitbox/switch whatever a Sleep property or a sleep until not touched variable.
i know you told me that you were making a guide for it but whatever

IMO sound effects should be quiter, it disrupts some of the quieter songs. Or maybe add music/sound volume sliders, idk. (EDIT3: Derrrrp in Options there's a thing. I still think it should be a slider, though.)

Otherwise, excellent job. *applause*

EDIT: Up/down splitter still doesn't do anything :(
EDIT2: The mage guy shakes violently when standing on ice
