[APRIL FOOLS]Forum Overhaul
Posted: April 1st, 2013, 2:57 amToday we will be starting to make a huge overhaul on the forums. The site might be down for several hours in the coming days. Here's what we will be doing.
First, I will be fixing all those bugs which have amassed since I started coding here. Due to my excellent coding skills there are errors and security leaks everywhere, and it's about time we changed that. Runouw.com should be a working site.
Secondly, the staff is going to be restructured. We are kicking everyone from the team (except Runouw and me) and force them to re-apply, to check whether they still have the qualifications and the motivation neccessary to work at the forums and talk down on regular members. In this process, we will most likely remove half of the staff, and we will also likely ditch the User Representatives so the regular userbase can not speak their opinion in the discussions in Forum 23.
And finally, we will be moving from phpBB to myBB, as phpBB has serious security holes. Also, we can install a ton of new addons there - for example, we plan to implement Google's new service Google Nose so you can smell other forum users. We hope that this will bring the community closer and improve the private life of our members because they actually care about hygiene now.
