The main rule I have a problem with is the one about swearing.
If you don't want swearing, don't turn off the swearing filter, simple as that.

Karyete: I don't have anything to say to you, I've been deliberately trying to not offend you for years, actually, but apparently everything I say to you is wrong. You come across as so aggressive that you successfully intimidated me into not wanting to talk to you
Karyete: Seriously, what is your problem? And not only that, you fail to even acknowledge you might be in some wrong here.
Karyete: Oooh it's you? Hello. Feel free to drop this right now. You're going to make yourself look like an idiot.
Karyete: We don't want to hear your opinion at this stage.
Karyete: You're not getting any apology, especially after now.
Karyete: You can stay up on your high horse, continue to twist the truth and act like an absolute child all you want. I refuse to give respect to a man who right now is picking up a dropped argument because he simply cannot fathom the idea that he might be in the wrong.

Pretty much agree with Suyo's post.

Tbh these rules are nothing too new. They're just made clearer. Makes me question how many people actually, y'know, read the rules :P

Charlie Sheen shall never die, he'll stay in my sig 'til doomsday.

Oh, and this is fine, I don't really see a problem with this. But people should stop complaining about the swearing rule. It's really easy to not swear on the internet, and swearing doesn't necessarily prove a point you're trying to make. So get over it :/

Even if your pic is too big, a really easy fix is to resize the image.

Obviously, you won't be perma'd if you just forget to add a trigger warning for a picture like the guy from Boston who had his leg severed. This rather refers to stuff like porn, where we will definely perma you if post that. (It's funny because that was also in the old rules, and no one ♥♥♥♥♥ there)
What if it's anime or mlp? jk jk But a perma for porn shouldn't technically be a nuke. Especially if it is a mistake.

Killswitch wrote:I don't know; maybe there should be a translator which can work automatically by choice.
Remember luigi master? I'm not doing that ♥♥♥♥ again. If people want to talk English without knowing any, they can go to Google Translate themselves, no need to add it here.
Unless they use the site on a mobile device that can't open tabs, of course.

Killswitch wrote:What if a hacker hacks your account spontaneously? What if that hacker changes the password of your account and takes it for his/her/its own?
Then it's your fault because your password is too weak/you had a security flaw on your PC/you gave your password out. (Again, this is in the old rules, too. No one cared about it there. What's going on?)
*has friends who are on Anon and could ♥♥♥♥ up a PC in seconds*
Not ♥♥♥♥ either. >:

Killswitch wrote:Oh boy, more restrictions.
Sure, let's have signatures which are longer than the post itself.
The signature is not a place where you should just jam all the stuff you can think of. It's a place where you can add a personal little touch, maybe link to your profiles on other sites. Because, you know, that's why it's called "signature", not "HEY GUYS THIS IS MY WEBSITE"
Also the current restriction is 250px, which approximately equals the restrictions set by the new rules (200px + 13px * 2 (2 lines) + 5.2px * 2 (line spacing) = 236.4). Why is everyone crying now about rules which have been here, before similar or even exactly the same?
^I agree with Suyo.

Killswitch wrote:I miss the times when their job is to delete rule-breaking levels in the Old Portal. Their job in the New Portal sounds more complicated.
Huh? They basically do the same. Approve or disapprove levels, and moderate the level forums. (Unless I'm forgetting something obvious)
Agreeing with Suyo again.

Killswitch wrote:In my opinion, more restrictions don't make this site a better place.
Raz wrote:This site is better off being more laid back, thank you very much. :l
Alright, tell me which rules are completly unneccessary. The NSFW rule? Want us to remove that, so we can have a BDSM subforum? Or how about we allow any language, so no one understands anyone. Or we remove the aforementioned signature height limit and scroll through thirty pages of "look at these funny pictures I found :))))" at the end of every post.
We want to keep the forum rather open, too, but without rules, everything would end up in a chaos. I hope you understand that.
And agreeing with Suyo again, since he has a point.

Sorry to everyone with fetishes, but it's a kid site.

I feel we kinda lost sight of this. But with LL we need to kinda clean ourselves up. Like Suyo said the rules are practically the same. We're just making ourselves look more presentable.

As for the changes specifically. (and I should have put this in F23)
Honorary members. As much as I like them being somewhat separate from the regular members I think a colored name could create some confusion. I think the color should be removed and they should either keep their title, or be given a medal. (maybe both)

User Reps. I'm both thrilled and dreading this. It's great because we weren't doing anything but give our two cents on occasion any way. But it also means work, and that I should be more active, which I should be anyway. That's my fault. But I'll embrace this with open arms seeing as I probably would help a new user out, UR or not.

You do realise what you've just said? You would have to look up pr0n, find a link, copy said link and then post it here. It wouldn't be posted by mistake.

Stoneheart wrote:Unless they use the site on a mobile device that can't open tabs, of course.

It's still an English speaking community, and they can still use Google Translate. Not as easy, but not impossible.
