I've never been in agreement that when someone hacks your account, you're permabanned, it was utterly your fault in every conceivable way, I don't care who you are, we never want to see your face again. Not everyone has enough to afford a super-air-tight computer safe from hacking. (I myself am computer-surfing still just to get by, I can't be picky.) Not everyone has the know-how to fortify their computer to the Nth degree. And essentially hacking can really happen to anyone. What if it happens to Amp? To Buff? God forbid, to you, Suyo? Have you seen The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? That girl can ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up big time. If people really wanted to, they could hack our ♥♥♥♥. What if someone who was bitter with me and happened to be a world-class hacker and totally ♥♥♥♥ up my account? Is your response really "Too bad, your fault, see ya never?" It's too reactive, very narrow-minded and entirely unfair.

The rules don't say that you're permabanned if you're hacked. It says that you're responsible for your account, ergo don't give out your password. If you've been hacked (and actually hacked rather than happening upon someone's password) then it's a different situation.

How might we tell the difference though? I'm on the fence about that rule, now that I think about it, too. The victim can easily re-register and say so, but unless the hacker makes it extremely obvious, the victim shouldn't be able to know whether it was by chance or a direct attack.

Well user reps will be just like mods in the way that we will just demote the inactive ones. But it's nice to have a fair number of them.

I'm sorry, but looking at it now I really disagree with having the Hons without colour. It's so much more confusing to see who was and who wasn't, and it simply looks unusually strange.

It'll look unusual for a while naturally because we're used to seeing lots of people with yellow names.

Like for me, when all the colours changed back in 2011, and the registered users were changed to dark blue and the level mods became pale green for a year, that was a bit tricky getting used to.

But in my honest opinion, it's an improvement. I was pretty much the one who brought up changing the honorary members in F23 because I found it frustrating seeing so many colours and I remember rightly saying something along the lines of "questioning if the majority of genuine members have had a staff position".

Colours are only really there to outline the people who are still moderating and working towards the forum. Honorary members get to keep their staff medals anyways.
