I'm the one who suggested to him to make a bug tracker on Reddit, so everyone should direct their angry comments at me. :p
Since almost everyone prefers that it be on site, We've talked about transferring it over to the forums, and this is what I've suggested to him:
- Will be based on thumbs ups instead of upvotes/downvotes.
- Thumbs ups will not count toward user's total "Thumbs up received" count.
- Thumbs up bug reports you think needs to be fixed badly.
- Will display amount of thumbs ups in thread preview thingy.
- Option to sort bug reports by amount of thumbs ups, so Runouw knows which bugs people want fixed the most.
- Threads will be locked when bug is fixed or is intended functionality, and it will say which on the forum preview thingy (I haven't asked him about that yet).
- Report a post if it reports a bug that doesn't exist.
If I recall correctly, he agreed with this (except for the tagging bugs as fixed/functional, I haven't asked him about that yet). Maybe he'll start working on it soon (hopefully after the next update, which he told me is coming in a few weeks), but I can't make promises on his behalf, so he'll have to confirm it.
What does everyone else think of the proposed system? Did I forget anything?
I always forget something for some reason whenever I make a post like this.
