I'm stuck at the 5th level as well. Can't get past the 3rd spike bar after you exit the cave. And God knows I've tried. I just can't jump high enough, get hit by the spikes, and fall to my death.

Finally beat the sixth level and the credits level. Great job.

Also, this is Runouw's third game with orbs of power? Maybe there's some sort of connection?...Nah.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to listen to the title screen music for an hour.

Just teasing of course, but I do think half the points on your list are negligible.

I guess, but I'm always looking out for little things like that. It's up to Runouw whether to fix them or not, but it would make the game slightly more professional. Having spelling and grammar mistakes can mislead people into thinking the designers rushed the game out and didn't take time to fix the little things like that. I suppose I'll refrain from posting any more of those unless Runouw says it would be helpful.

Having played through the first four levels, and screamed loudly at the fourth one for quite some time, I must say that this is very impressive thus far. My only problem is that I have a sort of lag issue where about two or three times every two minutes, the game will freeze up for about five to ten seconds and won't respond to my commands. That would be fine except for that when those five to ten seconds are up, all of the commands I tried to implement suddenly implement all at once, which more than once sent me careening off a ledge to my death amidst a plethora of expletives. I think there's a good chance that that is my computer's fault, not the game's, but is anybody else having this problem?

Let me just say that there's one section in the third level that is extremely tedious. Using delta through a wall block by block is not fun. At all.

And is it just me, or are the midair controls very slippery? I often times find it difficult to make simple jumps and end up falling to my death. That coupled with the delta'ing through the wall block by block in the same room made me so frustrated I quit for a while.

I have a similar issue, but the lag is usually not for that long, and it also applies to SM63, so it's probably my computer as well.

You're not the only one that thought these were slippery. I'm just less eager to make note of things like this for some reason.

Edit: A clean save file has 8 markers for levels, while an actual save only has 6 markers. The save file also says x/40 Super Squares even though there only appear to be 18 in-game. Maybe that's related to beating the chapter, which I haven't yet, but still.

I wonder if the next chapters are supposed to be even harder. I hope they aren't since I had a tough time beating the 5th and 6th level. The game freezed for me as well in one of the earlier cave sections in the 5th level.

About the designer itself. You aren't able to change the colour of the 'Turret' item. Once you start the level it automatically changes back to it's original colour.

I cheered a lot when I saw those circle outlines in the available item list. We definitely needed those. : P

The whole canditate 1 thing confuses me a bit. Is there supposed to be a second smaller update soon?

Edit: I see the auto save function is back.

Edit2: Is there a simple way to listen to every sfx sound without needing to test the level multiple times or use tons of triggers?

That's what's strange though, I've never had a similar issue with SM63, so I wasn't really sure what to make of that.

EDIT: I've encountered another problem. When I entered the second screen of the cave in the fifth level, the screen completely blacked out and though I could hear my character making noises, it was clear that it was not moving anywhere or doing anything that was supposed to be part of the level as I tried various buttons. I tried pausing and respawning at the previous checkpoint, but though the pause menu came up nothing happened when I hit the respawn button. I had to exit out of the level completely. I'm going to try again now.

EDIT 2: There's definitely some glitch with that screen. This time I could see my character, but what happens is this big thing of blackness emerges from the background layer of tiles and it's clearly not meant to be part of that screen. The frame rate slowed to maybe 0.0001 fps but I could see my character move forward extremely slowly. Fortunately I was able to hit the respawn point and then hit delete and I seem to be okay now.

Am I the only one who realized that there was a tiny update to the LD with the Chapter 1 update?

I experienced the same thing, including the slowing of the frame rate. I couldn't see my character though, so I could only tell due to how slowly the pause menu was appearing. That's where I gave up though, so I didn't really proceed from there.
