Personally, the mouse system annoys me. What if an enemy is so close to the character and you need to reach your hand to the mouse? By then, the enemy would have already attacked. I would really like it if we could just press "Z" for normal attacks. You might complain about this suggestion, because what about the ranged attacks, right? Why not make it all able to do on just the keyboard? No,I'm not saying replace it,I would like an alternate way of doing things. You can make it so that the fireball/axe/whatever reaches the place where the keyboard selected using arrow keys (like the way we used to select where to place the delta block in Chapter 1) too.

My internet died last night so I didn't get to add any feedback. But like Dtroid, I really can't stand the mouse movement. It's just very uncomfortable, I can't move and attack at the same time unless I play with my left hand, and that would make the game a lot harder anyway. The actual layout and the style is impressive though.

As a arrow key user, I need to say that spacebar for jumping is pretty much the worst thing that could have happened to me personally.
However. I think it's possible to get used to the mouse controls. I'd ask at that point to allow the player to add different control options, as it's seeming as if several people are having different problems related to the controls.

I do like the improved enemies versions, the square/triangles moving to the player itself are a neat little touch as well. I noticed if you're upgrading your weapons you have to equip them again. Learned it the hard way by getting beaten up by a ghost (By the way. Do these replace the shadow creatures)

For the level design itself, I need to admit that I've only beaten 2 levels thus far. I'm not quite getting the idea of combining metal and grass tiles as it's looking rather awkward to me. Might need some decoration items at some points as well. Other than that, I'm really liking the atmosphere that's going with it.

Also do love the music themes. They're getting better and better. I do look forward to any new one, I might see hear in the future.

Another question I've been wanting to ask, but never dared to do so. (Hopefully you're reading this...)
Would it be possible that level designers could help you out with the level design for the main game later? While I'm aware that you might prefer to work alone, or don't know what everyone is capable of, it'd be very nice to know if one could hope for a chance. I did learn from past projects, that the result's quality does indeed increase if there are more people working on a bigger game like this one.

It should be noted that Runouw mentioned configurable controls for a later version.

Well. Got used to it. Much faster than I thought. As you progress it's getting really good. Also do like the new battle system. Forgot the stuff I've been asking about the shadown creatures earlier.

My favourite level would be the 10th one. No doubt.

Ok, now that I'm done with this beta I'll comment on some things:

- Level design was just bad when compared to the first chapter. I know it was supposed to be an "Other Dimension" feel, but some floating pieces of land and not the best block combo don't really make it seem like great levels. Some of the puzzles and gravity shtuff was good though
- Speaking of puzzles, when there was that set of blocks which moved if you press a button, if you go to Delta Block mode (Shift thing) then it doesn't slow down, like other stuff.
- Mages teleport if you hit them, but if they teleport and there is no ground under them, they just kinda fall off the map.
- If you could manage to make the Esc button to be the cancel button/pause button that'd be great. It really fits with the WSAD + Mouse combo. Or the customisable buttons thing, that would be cool too.
- With the metal blocks mentioned earlier, when there was a straight dirt wall with a single metal block in the middle, I could grab onto it.
- I had a hard time clicking levers due to their small sprite. I'd make the hitbox more of a square, rather than the sprite.
- Enemy AI was generally good, though there were times where the Mages would teleport out of my reach (but that wasn't that much of a problem, since I could just switch weapons)

Aside from that, it's pretty solid! Well-balanced weapons, good enemy AI, music, graphics, battles and, of course, controls. Most of the problems mentioned above are small things, but I had to mention them. I have to ask though, did the big triangles/squares do anything. Did they add to your total square amount? I've not payed too much attention to it.

Big squares were worth 50, iirc. Gameplay was pretty good imo. It's just been the graphical section which lacked for me.

I'll post more when I'm done with all the levels, but thus far my first impressions are...not positive.

I don't know whether I like that. To be honest, since you can revisit levels for squares anyways, it kinda defeats the purpose of the big squares if they're intended for secrets. I could, in theory, replay a short level number of times to get squares faster, though that depends on how long the levels are, and how hard the secrets are to get. I thought they'd be a collectable of some sort, like in the first chapter, but whatever.

Also, try to play the first level with 13+ speed. Insane... insane how much you bounce off the walls :D

My record: 25 with +16 speed
