Maybe the reason he remapped jump was because there will be a more important function for Up later on?

Had W been scripted to jump, this game would be perfect, but it is very hard for me to do complicated manuevers (such as attacking midair) because I must move my left or right hand to the spacebar.

Why move your entire hand when you have a perfectly capable thumb for hitting the spacebar? Just saying.

This. I changed the control scheme to use space to jump because I assume WASD + Space was a more universally accepted control scheme. You don't need to move your hand at all to press space and it enables me to use the up key for something else if I need to.

I didn't expect so many people to be against the new control scheme, but I plan on making a menu in which you can re-map controls. It may be too much trouble to re-configure the game to support both a keyboard only scheme as well as the keyboard and mouse one, but we'll see.

I currently still dislike the mouse movements, because it's very uncomfortable playing with my left hand. I've tried using both arrow keys and WASD, admittedly WASD is easier to move around with because you can just put your thumb on the space bar (I had no problems with the spacebar), and then I have my other hand to shoot with. But I've just never liked using the mouse for games.

Honestly, the keyboard+mouse doesn't bug me much, as it is my set up in MANY computer games (such as TF2) and I am very used to it. BUT CONTROLS. On the behalf of the French community: ♥♥♥♥ the controls. It's impossible for me to play with WASD because it should be ZQSD, and if I try to play with the arrows there is no way for me to jump without leaving my mouse and leaving my character vulnerable.

So I can't play this game until custom controls are possible.

On the other hand, loved the new inventory thing and the ability to get other weapons than your default sword. FREAKING MAGIC WEAPONS YAAAAAAAAAY (i've seen only Wooden Staff but yeah I hope there will be more).

StarEDIT: Okay, I may have exaggerated. I can play the game, but changing constantly is very annoying, and I can hardly imagine boss battle where I will have to dodge and attack at the same time.

Money resets after dying, but items don't. Thus, if you go to the shop or upgrader levels, buy stuff, and die, you get your money back and keep your new/upgraded items. This is a problem.

So yeah I still wanted and managed to play it, and in the end, the whole switching thing was indeed annoying but I got used to it.

Beat all the level, here is my final (?) character (YAY FOR FREAKING MAGIC WEAPONS), without using any glitch/taking advantage of some problems:

That final level (or thirteenth level because I don't know if these two level spots are actual levels or just placeholders) though was almost impossible for me because, I couldn't attack and move at the same, so I had to endure hits when jumping around or stop moving to attack that freaking MAGES that KEEP TELEPORTING RAGH

I remember that one part of a lava level really annoyed me. It was the part where there were two mages, and you had to press a button to lower the lava. Well, the mages would knock me into it, and there was no way to rescue yourself. The mages themselves are ok, as long as you know their AI/pattern and take the fights slow. Also, assuming the new LD will be adjusted to the item change, will there be a possibility to ban certain items from levels? I could see these levels be easily broken, especially with the jump stat/speed stat etc.
