It's here!
http://www.runouw.com/games/lastlegacy_nullspace_beta/With this iteration of Last Legacy, we are attempting a shorter length game for the sake of improving the gameplay and the battle system. It's somewhat of a mini edition to the Last Legacy series. We are aiming to solve the issues that Chapter 1 faced, such as the lag, lack of an advanced battle system, lack of an upgrade system, and certain levels being too frustrating to complete. You may be a little unhappy about the length of levels in this release, but be assured that the next game is planned to be a lot more grand than this one.
(This is a better than waiting 3 years for the game to come out, yes?)The last few levels are locked in this beta (because the final boss battle and final level have not been completed yet). Also, the level designer is locked in this beta because the new items haven't had their UI completed yet.
Please leave feedback regarding your experiences playing through the game.

Not sure why it crashes, but here it is (for windows):
http://www.runouw.com/games/lastlegacy_ ... indows.zipor a direct link to the .swf:
http://www.runouw.com/games/lastlegacy_ ... legacy.swfEdit: It
might crash because I pre-load some palate swaps for the enemies right at the beginning. I'd like to know if this kind of problem is system or browser dependent.

I've played the first level, and I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. Both the mouse use and the RPG element. I've not tinkered with the LD yet. And since I assume later installments will play similar to this game, is the first chapter of Last Legacy going to stay as it is?

Dat gauntlet battle level. I like.
I dunno about you guys, but for me, the mouse movement makes levels really active.
I guess my only complaint is the how it pauses every time I click outside the game window and how there's no shortcut to exit out of it as far as I know. And of course the length, but you expected that.
Actually, is the font you've been using staying? Times New Roman and all its look-alikes bother me in games, unless they have some sort of nice backdrop. I know, gameplay and everything should be prioritized, but the small things help. The file select screen has a design, so you could use that as a theme throughout for the other UI(pause, level select, etc.) right?

I agree with Nin, the mouse movement really improves the game. Great so far, my only complaint is that the inventory hotkey is so far from the movement keys, so you have to reach all the way over and hit it. I think you should set it to E by default unless E is going to be used for a future ability.

Great, just great. I was going to say the levels are way too short, but then I read the part that it's just the beta, so I'm happy.

One thing I noticed as soon as the first battle against a wizard was that the player is vulnerable during cutscenes, so I get a lot of cheap shots dealt to me.
