I could easily settle with $10.

Btw, I think it would be great to sell the game at other easily-accessible places too. Personally, I don't ever plan on getting Steam, but also I would find it just a little out of reach on a Wii U, as that costs quite a bit of money to begin with.
I don't know what would be difficult about selling the full game here on Runouw.com, but it doesn't sound like that is being considering.

If I sell it here on Runouw.com, I would probably use Pay Pal unless someone knows about a better service.

It isn't that hard to get Steam. I mean, it's free. :P

Also why the WiiU e-shop specifically? Why not the PS4 or the Xbox One? I'm not complaining, I just find it curious.

Getting the game greenlit on Steam might be rather difficult. I know that many of the players will not support a game simply because it's a flash game. (Evidence: Bloons Tower Defense 5 Deluxe. Although that game was eventually greenlit, it is also a considerably larger game than Last Legacy, with a full development team behind it.) You will find a lot of opposition if you're not careful about how you present the game, so I strongly advise keeping that in mind as you make plans to submit it to Greenlight.

That said, I would gladly pay $10 for the game. If you released it on a console, I would personally prefer PlayStation Network simply because I own a PS3. Also, with PSN you would probably reach a larger number of players. But I think the ideal approach would be to release it on as many consoles as possible.

For consoles, I would also suggest implementing a level portal accessible within the game, and allow players to upload to it directly from the game. This is much more user-friendly and will result in many more levels being created for the portal. I understand that the current portal exists for the sole reason of encouraging players to sign up for the website, but as the game becomes much more well-known and popular, more players will become more interested in you as a developer, and I strongly believe that this will lead to more sign-ups for Runouw.com.

Greenlight has been made redundant. Valve have opened the flood gates, introducing games like Earth: Year 2066 and Air Control jim sterling plug. This means there's no curation, no approval process, no voting. You can just submit it and be done with it.


As for the price itself, that really depends on how much content you will actually have. 3 Last Legacy games is hard to judge what size that would actually be considering the level length difference between the chapters. That's a relatively short game and you have to consider the competition and what they're offering for what price. Super Meat Boy is $15 and that offers 300 levels, Dustforce is $10 and offers 50+ levels of more comparable length to Last Legacy.

$10 sounds reasonable as long as there's enough content to justify that price.

I think the reason that they're looking at the Wii U specifically is because of its touch screen, which would make placing blocks as easy as using a mouse (at least with null space's delta mechanic). Having it on the other consoles would be fine, but I don't think using analog sticks would be as fluent.

I'm pretty sure we aren't the only ones lovin' LL. Perhaps we'll get some more members now that LL is getting more attention?
I also put a comment in reply to anyone having issues (such as resetting controls) saying that the game is going to get updates, and it's got around 31+ votes and is a top comment. So I assume that people are going to realise it'll get better and will convince them to get more involved. Maybe I'm just getting my hopes high, but hey.

Similar feedback on NewGrounds, though.
About the amount of content, I'm pretty sure, the levels amount and length will be more than enough to justify that price later on.

For additional places, throw in some concept art and the soundtrack and you could easily get it on Good Old Games. They already have lots of indie games. Around 30 levels plus the level designer? $10 sounds about par for the course. You might even be able to get away with $15. I would certainly pay it, and I'm a poor gamer. 15 would probably be about the limit, though.

Also, PayPal is just the best. I know lots of small businesses that rely on it for their credit card processing, and some of then also have their inventory managed by them. It's just an awesome service. It's well recognized and trusted, and that goes a long way towards customer confidence.
