psssst, the FAQ still says "User Representative"

and also I hope for further promotions because I really like to see the 1-2-3-4-5 scheme, so we should not only have 2 extra user site reps, but also an extra mod, or Star king going up to mod (as also suggested) and a new level mod.

He may have done so. But despite wiki I did never see anything like that. wiki mods were no global mods either. And text and speeches alone doesn't justify the position for me, yet. I'll wait for actions in the near future and rethink my current position. Until then, I'll stay with my current opinion. I personally dare to say that it would have been a smarter step to go for moderator, do it for gosh knows 2 months or maybe 3. And both the users and himself could see if the position really suits. But by taking two steps at once you disregarded everything like this for a quick solution.

I'm not intending to attack, but merely voice criticism here. Just to make this clear to everyone.

Star King will not be going up as mod, he's fine where he is since his focus is levels. And neither is a new mod, I know for sure i'll be active and Nin is already active (along with MP3 and Doram who do the same thing as us)

I have to agree with Karyete that it was a suprise, even for me, really. I am really happy, and hope to contribute and do my best as a lemod.

Well, fair enough, I see your point. But Doram has influenced the site a lot more than most people think, so I believe the decision to make him a Glomod is a good one.

There is another SR who will be promoted fairly shortly once we get confirmation. But the decision has already been made on who it is.

In the meantime, I'd just like to say there were more than just one or two reasons for the people we decided to promote. When we found everyone for the positions, everything started to fit together like a jigsaw and that's when you know you've picked the right people. It's near impossible to please everyone so we're never going to make everyone 100% happy with the mod team, I'm sure there are still people that disagree with me being a global mod and there probably will be disagreements on others too. But if you have faith in us then hopefully you can trust our decisions. There were an awful lot of reasons why we had to promote certain people and not others that didn't involve just them being capable at the job.

But yeah, the biggest changes have been made now. In the next week there might be one or two more, but nothing too big.

Doram knows how to code better than most, if not all of us. If you want stuff to actually happen, then Doram is perfect where he is.

Also, I really second these nominations. All four people deserve them, and while FrozenFire is a fresh face he immediately struck me as more together than almost anyone else I've seen start up on this site. And Doram, Raz, and EmKay have all had amazing journeys to get where they are. Especially for Raz, it's so overdue, and I'm immensely proud at the personal growth EmKay has shown. Doram as a Global Mod stunned me, and I wonder how he'll handle it, but even though it's a big jump I have faith in him to do well. He's got big shoes to fill, though; Suyo's loss is still felt within the site, but if he can code that's amazing.
