I haven't attempted to get on in who-knows-how-long, so I don't think that was the case back then. Stupid timezones

You should try getting on now when you have the time. We've stopped linking people to mibbit (which is what was causing so many technical issues for people in the past) to a new web client which is much cleaner, prettier, and most importantly, much MUCH more technically reliable. It's called KiwiIRC -- just put in "#runouw,#main" for the channels or add them to the end of the link if you're bookmarking it (sorry, [url] tag was being weird). Hopefully, if we get more people to try to get online more often, there will be more of a chance that the chat won't actually be dead (and it usually isn't, honestly...maybe you were just coming online at a weird time like when everyone is at school/work for some reason, or if people were playing a game or something. You're in the UK, right? There are plenty of regulars from timezones around there.). Alternatively, there's the CyTube for which there's a thread in Off-Topic somewhere (honestly can't really be bothered to look for it right now but the link is http://cytu.be/r/runouw I think), but for the most part, that's just a backup chat or something we use when we want to watch videos or listen to music together.

Good luck to the new staff members and promoted staff members, but mostly I came here to mourn the fall of some of my fellow ancients. Many thanks to all who are being demoted for their years of service, and especially to Usu, Chau, and my one-time forum brother Buff for being among my closest friends here on Runouw. (Nothing personal Nwolf, you just joined a little later in the game after I was already getting out.) No idea if you're all still floating about the forums or if you're gone for good, since I'm not here enough myself to be aware of these things, but if you are leaving us for good, good luck and godspeed with your lives. I imagine you won't really need it though, since being awesome comes pretty naturally to y'all.

It's so weird to be in a world where once upon a time, myself, Blab, MIC, Chau, Suyo, and Buff were all mods... and now none of us are. That's before even getting to the non-mods in office, like Yoshi Boo, Usuario, Shade, etc etc...

Out of the 2009 crew, only Brando and Ninny still hold positions of power. Wow.

This was on his own terms, so if he'd like to say a few words, it's totally up to him.

(he's not leaving the site altogether I don't think, just his moderator duties.)

There are no plans for a replacement currently.

Yeah, I've become exhausted with the position, plus I'm most likely getting a real-life job rather soon. I'll still be around, but my activity has diminished due to interest changes.

EDIT: I also want to make it clear that I haven't dropped LDing entirely, but it isn't exactly as much of a priority to me as it used to be.
