We'll certainly miss you JJJ. You really cared about your actions and your input as a LeMod, and I appreciate you for that.

Don't have also much else to say right now, but I hope you recognize yourself as a guy who did his job right.

you'll look so ugly on teh LDP in suicide blue

EDIT: may I ask why there is no replacement? Are you sure that three lemods are enough?

The current lemods are handling the portal very well, we'd only need a replacement if they were starting to slack.
And before then...there are always measures we can take to fix that...

I speak from experience as one of the original three, it's no walk in the park. I used to get threats, flame mail, there were users who would purposely spam the portal just to make my job hard, and then the ones who needed help either didn't give enough information or expected me to be psychic. So I know exactly what the lemods go through, I walked the path back before there was ever pavement, and I tripped over every root.

Cheers, J. You lasted longer than I did, especially under all the pressure you had.

Maybe you're right. I've mainly thought that a legend like Triple J deserves a worthy replacement instead of leaving an empty hole, and IMO there are people who deserve a bigger spotlight and they have the requirements, e.g. Karyete, MoD or the newly returned SuperMIC.

... but it's all your choice.

Out of all potential people to be a LeMod, that's an odd choice.

It's not that Triple J doesn't deserve any replacement, it's basically because all the LeMods are still doing a fine job and handling everything without him. There isn't any real need for another replacement.

It's all a matter of opportunity. There are so many people here worthy of being LeMods, and they would in fact do a fine job, but to be honest, it takes time and patience.

Just saying, I really don't think that the decisions are made just through randomly appointing people from a list everyone thinks would work out well. There would have to be an application process of some sort involved, where, for one thing, people are volunteering for the position, or are at least asked for their permission. Also, it has to be determined whether or not the user is capable of and ready for taking on the responsibilities and stresses of the position, as well as if they're able to commit the necessary amount of their own time to do this work. Just because someone is a good designer doesn't necessarily mean they'll make for a good level moderator. I'm not accusing anyone, but you shouldn't try to force people into it, because someone might not have the proper/adequate amount of time, dedication, patience, and/or motivation, as well as the right state of mind, to be able to do the job effectively. It's definitely not just a shiny name. Refer to Shad's and FF's posts for more detail on that.

But really, guys.

And lastly, because I haven't actually said anything about the demotion itself yet, farewell, JJJ. I haven't been involved with the lemon stuff at all, but I can still confidently say that your work here was definitely appreciated, and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours (yes I know you're not actually leaving). I'll certainly miss seeing you in cyan around here (rip ;-; ).

You're a cool person, Triple J. From what I've seen I knew you did your job well. Welcome to the club of Level Mods turned regular users. :D

So, after lots of discussion and lots of drama, Yuri and Star have finally been demoted.

There are replacements coming so don't worry- FF won't be the only level mod..for too long :p
