There isn't that much workload though, when I used to be a level mod I used to handle the entire old portal by myself and it only took about 10 minutes each day. And that was a LOT of work. Two people can easily handle the new portal just as long as both are online enough.

Interesting. I had a different impression about it, because a couple of people on the chat were saying it was a lot of work or a big workload.

the built-in mod application system in the UCP is basically defunct anyway, so don't expect anything to happen if you apply for a group there

Going through new levels to be approved is normally not that big of a deal. Unless there's like 8+ new levels at a stroke and some of them might be controversial to approve or not. Right now FF and MoD are handling it nicely and effectively, I'm fully aware of that. However, I actually wonder why we mean to eventually reach a situation of inconvenience due to eventual lack of activity on FF/MoD's side. It doesn't have to go this far at all if we grant preventative precaution with a direct replacement. Generally, more people with power can get things done better, and back to when we had 4+ lemods, noone was actually disturbed of there being "too many of them" to do their work.
In short, I definitely second a new third lemod, in fact I'm convinced that there have to be at least three. Who it shall be is a different matter.

Again, it's not about what there should be, it's about what there is. If 2 people can handle the workload fine then we won't be promoting anymore. If one or both of them start to slack, that is a different matter. But right now it's all good. There's no point in promoting a third level mod if we don't need a third level mod, and after all this is about what the forum needs.

There was an interesting conversation in the chat this morning about this, and I want to bring up one of things discussed. They only need two lemods, and they're handling things just fine. The fact that they aren't promoting anyone right now doesn't mean we aren't qualified; they just don't need another new mod at this very moment.
Also, having a history of being banned doesn't mean anything about getting promoted or not. Nobody cares. What matters is who you are now and what you've learned.
And honestly, just be yourself. Trying to be someone your not just to be a mod is rather dumb; that's like cheating. If you just be yourself, more than likely you'll be a better influence and have a better shot of becoming a mod when one is needed.

It's all over town already, but nevertheless, I'm a site rep now!
It's been taking some doing indeed, and it's certainly the best solution to satisfy all sides. I'm aware that it also means some sort of pressure, but that's exactly what I'm willing to prove myself at.

To clarify further, rather than giving him Level Mod straight up, we are letting Shroom tread the waters as a User Rep, which is able to see everything and edit little.
Congrats!
razEDIT: as in, experimental site rep.

Haven't been here lately to give any input on this, which is my own fault, but just thought I'd drop a congratulations.
