Last Legacy: Null Space update!

We've updated Last Legacy Null Space! First of all, we improved the ending level and resulting cinema and credits. There are also a few new graphics in the level designer that we have created for the upcoming Java version of Last Legacy. We decided to also add to the Null Space LD since they'll be useful for level portal and contest submissions while we are working on the Java game. Among the new items are house building blocks and some vegetation provided by BY. There are also some new LD keyboard shortcuts that were rather long overdue:

Image

  • Numbers 1-4: switch to Item Layer. 1 being "Items Front" and 4 being "Items Back"
  • 5 and 6: switch to Tile Layer
  • Control + 1-6: Switch to that layer and lock/hide all other layers.
  • Control + A: select all
  • Control + X: cut (delete and copy)

Collectables have been added to the story mode. There are prizes to receive after collecting the large triangles in every level.

Collecting one triangle in a level gives you a collectable which you can view in the extras menu. Collecting two triangles in a single level gives you the description. And, collecting all 3 triangles in a level will give you the level code to edit in the level designer.

We also fixed various small bugs.

You can play the game here.

I haven't touched LL for many months. But this may be a good occasion to look at it again. Cool.

The wait has finally ended! :D

By the way, is it possible you could provide a full change log, or something like that? I'd like to know which bugs in particular have been fixed or still need to be fixed, because OCD.

EDIT: Dammit. Some of my levels broke because Mountain Tiles can now be removed with Delta. :(

EDIT2: Eek! You forgot to fix the missing songs! Is there still time?

EDIT3: More thoughts found here: http://www.lastlegacy.us/forums/viewtop ... p=694#p694

There's lots of new content in this version, which is neat. So, thanks for that.

I wish that more had been done in the way of bugfixing, though. Most of the music is still absent, and delta negate boxes are still nonfunctional, among many other things. Enemies now get their HP set properly, though, and that's great, as are the fixed thumbnails for most of the items that didn't already have them. As much as I love getting new tiles and items to use in the LD, these bugfixes were what really had me excited, and now I'm sorta disappointed.

I don't think a RC4 is forthcoming any time soon, but this version feels...unfinished. I'm hoping for more bugfixes in the future, because who doesn't like bugfixes? Nobody, that's who.

And like Triple J said, a full changelog would be nice.

Yo, Rob, huge exploit in hardmode, last boss level. Should be fairly obvious what it is, since its the "rarest" item. I'm not going to spoil it, but maybe make it so you only get it once.

Allow me to make the sources of this particular bug clear: viewtopic.php?f=97&t=47489#p311831

In my opinion, this has to be the most game-breaking glitch, and I want it known by the dev team and fixed.
