This is like Flash inside Flash, just a lot easier. Awesome.

I've tried doing something like this in Flash. Not a lot, but it's quite hard until you know what to do... and I still don't. *gets to work *

Yeah, I read about this a fairly long time ago in the Spriter's Resource forum. He posted a couple of pictures there too.

If this Character Creator is what I think it'll be like... OMFGTISTA (TISTA - This Is So Totally Awesome)

I have one question though. Will this creator be available to us, the players, or is it something you (Runouw) have made to help import the character animations into the game yourself? I read in your post at the SRF that this could be a way of releasing "Downloadable Content", so I'm just wondering if we're going to have access to this designer, and be able to use it to create our own characters using our own sprites. I can't begin to imagine how epically awesome that would be. It would be like MUGEN, but BETTER! *Insert fourinone's avatar here*

And yeah, I'm thinking this is just going to be a mode to allow us to make our own characters, much like Brawl let us create our own stages (only this is more epic)

It won't be as complicated as Flash, but it still might be quite complicated. You have the place the characters in certain places so the movement looks right. The cross will help there.

To me, it looks like a character designer already implemented into Flash. As long as you have the sprites, it should be quite easy. Then again, this may not even be for public use.

Really, it doesn't even look that hard, but simply can consume a lot of time.

And I do believe this will be available to the public, because in his youtube video he comments we can PM him about having our hands on it, and he would let us use it. Obviously this means it will be a part of the full SBB Engine.

Knowing Runouw, he's just going to make the epic choice and add it as a regular mode in the game. That's a really neat feature, because think of the possibilities. I don't think Runouw would send us a video of a character designer just to look at it.
