July 2010 Update

Here is the anniversary update:

Here is a video preview of the project (now officially deemed Last Legacy) we have been working on for a while now. Among some of the new features are moving platforms with all the old SM63 options plus custom paths and orbiting while the center moves. There is a new Castle tileset and a bunch of new vegetation focusing on customizable trees, vines, etc. Planets and large rotating blocks can now have gravity and move just like platforms do. Plus the new song in the video is planned to be used in the game. Comments and criticism are welcome (just don't complain about the dislocated x button or layering issues [this update was rushed due to the anniversary 7/27]).

:omg: Custom paths... Planets with gravity... tiles that automatically blend into each other...
You are officially the best flash maker ever. Seriously. You have never once lost my interest.

One thing that threw me off was the plants in the beginning, though. In the intro level, I saw some odd looking trees at places like 2:30. The trees looked as if they were floating next to the ground instead of buried inside it. That problem also happened with some of the tiles in SM63. Other than that, the Level Designer looks amazing.

EDIT: Owait, nevermind:
just don't complain about the dislocated x button or layering issues

Also, actually you had 8 more hours to do stuff, anniversary's exactly at 2:05pm GMT :P

Also², maybe I heven't seen it but could there be an option to disable "smoothening" of the paths?

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic! The features are nothing short of brilliant, the music is awesome, and I think the name suits it well. No more Mage Game. :awe:

A question about the planets. Is there a way to keep them from spinning and just keep them still? Also, is there a limit to how large you can make them? (A real planet-sized planet would be win :awe: )

Runouw, I gotta say, you've outdone yourself! This is an awesome game!!! And maybe, once you finish with LL, maybe you could make the SM63 LD like that?

This entertains me so. Although, I do have a question. Will the level designer still be shared through a code? If so, isn't it going to be difficult to do so with custom paths and such? O_o

In the video, the custom paths were controlled with points. So I'm guessing the code will take the coordinates of those points and use them in the code somehow.

The level designer is so epic! I Like It! I Like the ground, the items. everything. I Like that you can make Custom paths for the the moving platform to! :)
