First of all, destroyer, FoR is not just a "stupid" topic; it's an entire sub-forum available exclusively for members, generally veterans, who have proved themselves worthy for access. And, no hard feelings, but constant pestering for Suyo to bend the rules just so you guys can qualify for access won't help you at all.
The main thing I'm seeing with the attempt to bend the rules is for us to count chat posts as contributes to the site, and in turn, with enough chat posts you should be able to access the FoR. Now I'm not denying that the chat box is a useful part of the site in a sense that a lot of users...well....chat. I just think that the chat and the forums are two totally separate things and I feel it's a little unreasonable of us to reward users with access to a part of the forums when they didn't take much part in the forums to begin with.
The main idea I'm trying to get across is that I see no problem with the way FoR is set up right now. Honestly, it's not that difficult to accumulate 250 posts (or 500 if you have a warning, I believe). Depending on how active you are on the website, you could have 250 posts in about 2-3 months--possibly less. I'm not saying to post-count or anything, because you don't have to. Just go to any topic that suits your interest, basically skim what has already been contributed to the topic thus far, and add your own opinion.
