It's... OK, I guess. I mean, the idea of Flimps is kinda original, but couldn't you make them do something other than spin..?
It's basically hopping from Flimp to Flimp across lava. Maybe if you made one Flimp move from side to side, and there's a secret Sling Star you get to with Fludd? Then it shoots you across the level, and you land on a bonus area. Get the goodies, then go out of the door.

STOP. HAMMER TIME.

Flimps and Thwomps are crazily dancing all over a 'Kaizo' room, and you get to the other side. Your reward?

A Shine.

Oh, and if you bypass the Shine, you get another little bonus room with Rocket Fludd at the end, and you organize enemies into a sort of danmaku?

The possibilities are endless. It's kinda sad you only took one.

But still, it's good for a bonus. Just make it a bit more extensive.
Maybe even turn it into a full-fledged galaxy?
