I'll give you a review.


FUN: 2/5 The level was really short. But I think this is like some sort of series intro or something. So I'll give you a chance. But you might want to make longer levels in the future and more challenging ones.

GRAPHICS: 4.5/5 Wow! For a first level, this is amazing for the graphics! No cutoff, Tree graphics, and coins. Great job!

Meh, I'll still give my thoughts on this.

Fun: 1.5/5. Uh, what was that? Sorry, but that was WAY too short. You just went right reading signs and jumping a few times. I did kinda explore the house a bit, but... c'mon. You can give us something better than that. I know it is your first part to a series of levels, but you can't just give us a level that only includes a few jumps while moving right and expect us to have fun.

Graphics: 3/5. The graphics were fine, except for a few issues. First of all, I honestly DESPISE overuse of having frontal tiles as additional landscape. It's makes no sense since we can't even go on those platforms, and it barely makes a level look 3D. Second, which is the more minor point, is that you did have decor, but most of it was only in one area. The other parts aside from that one area only had a few bushes or trees of the same kind.

And as a side note, I saw no reason for there to be wall tiles in the beginning of the level. It simply did not fit. Use jungle blocks instead, but make sure their edges are covered.

Creativity/Other:

Good:
+ The dialogue was good. It was enjoyable. (+1)
+ The coin placement was ok for the most part. (+0.5)

Bad:
- I only saw goombas, a disabled penguin, and cheep cheeps. No goonies? Koopas? Shy guys? Utilize your items a little bit more to make the level real nice. (-1)
- Two clouds? That's it? And I never thought they could go as low as the first floor on a cabin...? It's gotta make sense. Put a few more clouds if you're planning on using them, and at least make them higher. Yes, the cabin was reachable without the clouds. (-0.5)
- You have this MASSIVE empty space above the grounds of the level. Why not use it? (-0.5)

2.2/5! Being your first level, it's not a disaster to say the least. But just like when starting out something, our first tries are not the best. So don't feel discouraged, but rather use advice from legit reviews to help you in your next level (or you could edit this one using what we have to say).

Thanks dude! So I basically need to add good decor, add more varieties of enemies, make levels longer, use more space, and use the appropriate tilesets.
Criticizim is highly appreciated, because I need to know what to do to make better levels.

Played it, LOVED it. I absolutely love the expansion of pirates (erm, stupid pirates to say the least. ), and how you added that one part of background below your house. There were still some front tiles over front tiles near the destroyed bridge, but hey. I still loved it. You also gave me some fun enemies to beat up.

HamEDIT: Oops, I forgot to put in the changed score! I would give this a straight 4/5. Amazing job. Seriously.

Bro, this is excellent. This level is crafted excellently. Platformy goodness, epic graphics and awesome humor. I'm a fan for sure.

Hm. Nice level.

Simple platforming and difficulty, which I have no complaints about for once. It strangely didn't get boring, despite my experiences with other similar levels. >> The graphics are also good, even if it isn't as detailed as other levels I've played. Snap the coins in that extra coin room though. Hold CTRL and click to keep them lined up nicely.

The graphics of your first version was more interesting in that first part, though.
