Mario enters his first World, but it is just as an introduction to the World matters. You should practice here if you want to survive through all the obstacles ahead of here.

This is a pretty easy level; you are given some guidelines that'll help teach you how to get around more easily and skillfully.

You also get to see more of how the Overworld works!

Version 1.5: Altered the Overworld to reduce lag. Unfortunately, it is still a lag bomb on Full Screen Mode.
Version 1.65: Fixed the size of a body of water in order to hide cut-off. Dug up holes inside bodies of grass to help reduce lag a bit. Disabled many decorations in order to reduce the lag more.
Version 1.7: Fixed the layering of the Regular Small and Large Water Bottles.
Version 1.8: Brought the staircases back to the Citadel. Made the Custom Background more opaque.
Version 1.81: Tiny graphical fix.
Version 1.82: Fixed a text error. They are not called "Coins" in this series!

Hmm. About the fire background in the beginning. I dislike that. 7 fps are extreme laggy for me. You could just have used golden tiles from the castle tileset to get the same effect. The other parts could just get changed or you trick the player with items to hide the parts where the golden tiles don't work. But I suggest you to remove the fire.
The level itself was a nice instruction. New words were also invented. Nice idea. I hope the platforming gets more challenging soon. :3

Good Level, But How Did You Get The Custom Backround?!

He disabled a giant Flame Tower.

Are the signs in the first transition supposed to be disabled?

1) The Signs were intentionally disabled.
2) I had to use the Flame Tower Background. If I used Golden Tiles, the lag would be worse. It was the best idea I could come up with... but why do you dislike it, blackyoshi (though it lags)? Have you tried playing it with a smaller game screen (window)?

I thought the Flame Tower Background was creative, anyway. :/

EDIT: Oh my god! This just in, I found a way to keep the Firewall (wordplay intended :3) and make the Overworld less laggy, blackyoshi! Just wait while I make the modifications, which'll take some time.

I mainly disliked that because of the lag. But also because there was no need for it. And I thought this could be in the beginning of the next levels. It looks also not very appealing to me. But that's only my opinion, you know. About playing in a smaller screen. I play always full screen. If the people would just play in a small screen, judgings for lag could just get thrown away.
A level should be playable in every screen size. IMO

I understand, well...

Here's why I NEED it:

The background of the actual world would show up in the Citadel as well. I needed to cover it so the Overworld would make more sense. If I made the whole wall out of tiles, the lag would be more of a problem.
Also, I hid it behind the World Entrance room so that when you go back-and-forth through the door, you cannot get a glimpse of the World's background.

Again, I found a big (secret) solution to the lag (I may also have to do with a different method for portions of the World itself). After the modifications, it shouldn't be very laggy on Full Screen Mode anymore (at least for me).

Why I think it is creative:

Haven't you went into the "Design Mode" and looked at the top of the Overworld? It gets redder up high, as if it is of a higher rank and/or difficulty.

The Overworld section is nearly lagless now, unless you play with a Full Screen. I just cannot reduce the lag bomb I get when playing on
Full Screen Mode.

I'd been planning to use it ever since the flame tower was released to get a custom background. Oh well I've already used it for a level of mine that I'm going to release soon and thank God it doesn't lag.
