Hey! Nice level! Was fun for me to play through. For the difficulty, it was quite easy, perfect for a first level. The creativity was a little something it lacked. It has been long since I have seen something new on Runouw, so its not that bad. The level design was great, so overall I would give it 4 and 1/2 stars, but I'll round it up to 5. I will look forward to seeing more levels!

First things first, I'd appreciate it if you provided us some sort of youtube link instead of telling us what to search to listen for alt. music.

Now, for the level...

I gotta say, much improved from the last level I reviewed. You had a great assortment of background decor and even took advantage of item layering to hide enemies/items, but still made them somewhat visible. I loved that. That was quite possibly the best part of the level hands down. And even though there were only 3 coins, you had me looking.

But... the level suffered from quite a few aspects. First of all, the first three signs... it doesn't clear it at all as to why the level is called "Runouw 1-1". It just makes me feel like I am playing some random user's attempt at making their own version of modern 1-1. There's literally no effort put into backstory, which is something I was hoping to see. Plus, signs needed a slight grammar clean-up. Also, that third coin was nearly impossible to find without looking at the level in the generator, and at some points I felt like you could've included a few more open coins for a more refined look of a standard pure-platformer level.

Quite possibly the biggest issue, however, was the fact that I only saw goombas and koopas as enemies. You really gotta be more creative with the level palette. This is YOUR level. YOUR series. YOUR perspective of modern, or in the title's case, "Runouw 1-1". Give us more than just a few goombas and koopas.

Also, it was possible to jump over the castle and become stuck forever. But when I explored beyond the castle you had this MASSIVE space you could've used to expand your level. That was really disappointing.

Overall, I'd say 3/5. Yes, I rounded up from a low 2.3 estimate, but it's ok. The major issue here is lacking in creativity and use of your space in the Level Designer. Otherwise the level itself was very welcoming (besides the first 3 signs).
Expect something cool here soon!

you know i tried putting the link to thje music but i did not let me (it said i was too new of a user to put links , but i have registered since 2009 , could you help me with that?) also its not intended to be a remake of 1-1 its a total new series :P (heck the NEW super mario bros runouw , and runouw its like the wii on new super mario bros wii)

And yes, of course the thought of a New super mario bros Runouw is what you want us to experience, right? That doesn't change the fact you gotta use more of your enemy palette and creative backstory to give us that new experience. Otherwise you'll leave the audience bored to tears.

Gimmicks and varied platforming always make a level exciting. Give us something new. Show us your creativity. And even without alt music then I highly suggest an in-game music change... the current music just doesn't fit.
Expect something cool here soon!
