NOTE: Something is wrong with the designer (for me, at least). Everytime I saved my code, and reloaded it, the last 20 tiles of my level disappear. Also, if you load the designer without any code, you get those strange blocks that shuffle through every tile, right? A few of them appear, and I have to find them and get rid of them.

Review Time:

Fun: 5.25/10

The lag caused some troubles here. Use level transition to get easily rid of that. Also try to reduce the hight. Will only reduce points in Other for that. The worms itself were a neat addition. while often just overused, or bad placed. I suggest more space between them sometimes and using them more effective. They were often pretty much no challenge at all and just something to step over. The bonus room was a nice idea. But I suggest to use it in a new transition instead of above. Or your level suffers a lot from the lag caused throught the hight. I didn't really get the point of the oasis. Only sinking down for some time and then swimming up quite long. There could have been way more gameplay added. If not a pipe that leads to an extra transition again. I suggest overall to split some things in this levels. One of the black sand worms in the lava seemed dipping into the lava while you needed to collect a red coin. Maybe giving him more time in the lava to add more difficulty. Some of the sandworms need better timing overall. So does the one at the sling star. It was no challenge at all to get past it. Also the fire from some took maybe a bit too long. It lowered the flow of the level at some points, though. The gameplay and platforming was quite average. I wished there would have been something that stays in mind. Also the use of the blosses could have been thought out a bit better. But that's enough for now.

I saw pretty much cutoff. Especially the cave/desert one around the pipe, quite in the end of the level bothered me. it looked quite odd. The lava/desert combination could have thought out better too. Maybe using desert bricks around the lava to get a better effect then just pushing it in. Try overall to avoid cutoff between different tile types with using bricks for example.
Also tile combinations and such couldn't hurt. The fire out of the move could have been a bit smaller or changed with using a fire trick with the same effect. The huge fire looked also a bit off here and there. The item choice seemed not very desert like for me. I wish you would have used less plants and more cactus or palms. But that's personal taste here, though.

Level Transitions WERE added, but as usual my Designer started flipping a ♥♥♥♥ for no apparent reason when I loaded the level. As for the lava, who would build bricks around lava in the middle of a desert? Seriously? Also the worms aren't supposed to be huge obstacles that constantly get in your way. Other than that I suppose it's a sort of fair review.

I explained it like I saw it. So no transition at that time. I said that in chat. It was a suggestion for improving the graphics instead of just using desert sand for it. That's probably also my style. About logic. If we would start with logic in Super Mario games, some things would be pretty dumb. So no need to take suggestions too serious. I didn't meant as huge obstacles. But when you add them to the gameplay they should get used maybe a bit more. Well. I kinda rushed that review. I hope at least, it helped you.

NOTE: Something is wrong with the designer (for me, at least). Everytime I saved my code, and reloaded it, the last 20 tiles of my level disappear. Also, if you load the designer without any code, you get those strange blocks that shuffle through every tile, right? A few of them appear, and I have to find them and get rid of them.

Yeah, that keeps happening to me too. What I've noticed is that what kinda helps prevent this is, when you're expanding your level horizontally, try erasing the first vertical set of tiles that you expand upon. I dunno, it sometimes helps prevent it. I had to restart my level Digital Circuit three ♥♥♥♥ times because of that random tile glitch.

I don't get that glitch,maybe it's because I use the in-game designer and not the Standalone LD. Which one do both of you use?
