The spawnpoint sets you in the void.

As for the level design, I can jump over the first door to the upper part of the level, allowing me to sequence break, the maze is not much of a maze, and it's impossible to get to the Shine Sprite because the warp point of the last warp pipe is set so that I spawn outside of the Shine Sprite area.
