Well, this level was epic. I loved the boss fight, liked that supply of hearts near the boss, loved the slight puzzles.

Just... Why?

Okay, for a first level... Meh. Sorry, it just looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ugly.

"Forest tower" That name sounds like an AMAZING CONCEPT, but the execution is this ugly mess. (Seriously, you lost me when my character got stuck just trying to walk up a hill.) Forests can be either dark & mysterious or vibrant & lively, but instead it's blocky & sloppy.

The boss fight was stupid because:
A) I had no idea it was a boss fight,
B) I could leave the fight for some free health to the left, (Seriously, why put three big hearts?)
and C) It's just a normal old soldier with an annoying amount of health.

Heck, I ended up skipping it and just climbing the tower.

Speaking of stupid soldiers and towers...

FOREST tower. FOREST tower. F-O-R-E-S-T tower. FFFF-OOOO-RRRR-EEEE-SSSS-TTTT tower.

Why is the finally encounters a bunch of soldiers and why is the tower a freakin' bland, grey tower? You could have made it a giant tree, an overgrown ruin, or you know, SOMETHING THAT FITS THE THEME OF FFFFF-OOOO-RRRRR-EEEE-SSSS-TTTT.

In all seriousness, yes, this whole "review" is whiny nitpicks, but that's the problem: There is nothing in this level to make me want to do anything but whine and nitpick.
