Welcome in the designing business where nobody is able to design awesome stuff only. Everyone deals different with that stuff.

You are still a decent level designer. You and me. Both of us concentrate on details the player don't care much about and we tend to forget everything else around it. Prime example ''Derelict Factory'' I concentrated on using damn much glitches. I'm doing the same mistake in my duel level right now and it won't change... probably ever. Don't get put down by a few levels decreasing in quality for a bit.

There come better times again as well. Level designing is in fact no business resulting in the same quality level. Go to the tier list for example. There's no designer which levels didn't get worse/better for a while, than they normally are.

I'm not sure if my use of english is that offensive and rude to others. But I seriously tried to be constructive rather than seeming like an complete idiot. It saddens me to see these things if I try to speak about my opinion about something.

I could continue this post. But tbh. I don't feel like it. Still one last thing I want to say.

You can improve every level to the better. But even these improvements have an individual limit for each level on their own.
Thus means. I'd leave it as it is right now and keep going on with your LDC entry you talked about rather than getting crazy about this one here.

Edit: You rarely see walls of text from me. If you do, I'm normally deadly serious. :3

Sorry for that reaction. I cannot predict myself, but it seems that if I am passionate about something, I have to avoid becoming worse. EDIT: In fact, I sadden myself whenever I hurt others, so I never meant to be rude or anything.
Now that I know that nobody can really "be awesome all the time" (if I read that right), I'm feeling less worried. But more importantly, I think you're right: I should leave this as is. Maybe I could look back at this in the future after/if I make a highly accomplished level with a very similar theme to this.

@Nwolf: I personally don't see what's so "ugly" about the sand structures. Is "ugly" the word you're looking for? I've probably seen Sand tiles used much more horribly, but in comparison to other levels, I wouldn't go as far as calling my sand structures "ugly--," IMO. Heehee... the punctuation at the end of that sentence was a little "ugly" though.

EDIT: Looks like my deleted posts changed the course of history: BY double-posted. :3

ByEdit: I ain't fixing that.

That was just Nwolf's opinion. You can't expect to post a level and think you'll get awesome comments and so. I've made tons of levels in the past were I thought they were cool but they failed pretty hard. Like my "Shines in the Sky Ruins" (my 18thLDC entry). I worked on it hard but it had so much bugs that it placed 8th place. Instead of being mad, use his review as a lesson for next time.

I wasn't mad, I was curious.
