Quickness Test
Hi this is my second level hope you'll not be angry at this game.
This will test how quick you are get the shine sprite before something crushes you in less than 50 seconds

Well, right from the start I can see forced damage which isn't terribly nice. :o_O:

Along with that, I can see it's pretty easy, too. I felt that there were too many enemies which didn't even really increase the difficulty but instead just made it laggier. 50 seconds is more than enough time to complete both sections of the level, so it made the level even easier. The level itself was also very short, even with the optional second section.

Other than that, I can't really say much. The level has good potential, it just isn't executed terribly well. Keep trying and you'll get better over time! :music:

Well then.

How long did it take to create the level? I am genuinely curious. I can't tell if it took less than a day because of how sloppy it was or if it took more than three days to place all those enemies. No, this is not intended to make fun of your level or anything. It's criticism. Or essentially, what went wrong in it, and as a result, what needs to be fixed.

I want to make sure I clarify this with you because you seem to be willing to throw out your age and grade to a bunch of people in the public. Which would be fine, but I'm not sure if it was entirely necessary to know that. I want to know more about the level, not you.

Anyways. The level. As I mentioned earlier, it was sloppy, full of enemies, and hardly worth a play. The Ninja has brought up some rather nice points - forced damage is not fun unless if you're timing it with a storyline, dialogue, or specific level design (For example, a remake of the Daredevil comet from Super Mario Galaxy). That's really the only place I'd see it being appropriate. Otherwise it just frustrates the player and I'm wondering why you don't just place the starting location where the player teleports after said forced damage.

When I said it was hardly worth a play I meant that all I did was keep a straight face the entire time and use the arrow keys. Not really fun. The platforming and level design was bland. What can you do to make the player do more than move left and right? That's what I'm interested in.

Also, the optional second challenge after the warp pipe. I didn't even care about your sign about not wanting to go there. If anything it was easier than stomping up koopas to a shine as I didn't even have to press any buttons other than left. Why? Because the time blocks didn't hamper any ability to fall down and reach the shine, aside from waiting a really long time. Also, the warp pipe in the second area is mis-aligned. There's a crack in said pipe that shows and it's really bothering graphic wise.

But I can see this becoming good if you expanded the level, did not add as many enemies, and included more of a challenge than just moving left and right and dodging over-the-top blocks that move a bit too fast in my opinion. Not like they mattered as they were really easy to bypass, but they surprised me a bit first time around.

I take into account a lot of things. Considering you are 9,this level is pretty good. I advice you to place less enemies to prevent lag and prevent the player from having damage at the start of the level. Otherwise,it's good. Keep up the good work and please improve!

The replies helped but because all of that replies i forced my self to make another one longer more challenging.
