This level is pretty bad and has a lot of flaws. I'll just give them here and shut up.

WARNING: Fairly lengthy and a bit repetitive: show
Gameplay:
1. The very beginning. You place a big bully on a small platform that is very difficult to remove. Not only that but you also place a sign on this platform to give the player incentive to not bypass the big bully but to instead try to get it off the platform somehow not get knocked back into the abyss and land on the platform. I find this bit of challenge completely unfair and completely unnecessary, leading to frustration for the player.
2. Speaking of signs, throughout the level they are pretty much everywhere and I felt that reading them kinda slowed down the gameplay unnecessarily .
3. At two points in the level you have platforms that are not in view without zooming out. Leaps of faith are bad unless there is a very obvious hint that that is indeed the way to go. Here you have the player wondering what the heck they are supposed to do. And to make matters worse...
4. You abuse this to lie to the player. In one of the signs you write "If you wanna suicide fall down". This is a complete lie. If you walk of the edge this sign is near and fall down
you land on a cloud platform. Lieing to the player like this is bad unless you manage to communicate to the player that you are lying. The player that encounters this sign is likely to turn back and see if they missed something. Putting the path right in front of them and then telling them that nope the path is not there is a jerk move that you should not do.
5. Really high speed flipping platforms are highly volatile and should not be a thing the player should be able to interactive with ever. Please don't do it.
6. The length of the level feels short. Like really short. It also really doesn't help that the level is 150x150 (implying that the length would be about average) but the actual area you play in is more like 114x39 (actually shrunk it in-designer to check). Also, the difficulty when you get past all the other gameplay design flaws is pretty easy. Boringly easy even. (This difficuly part is a little more subjective though and is just my judgement)

Aesthetics:
1. There is a bug with water that moves it up by half a tile in-game as compared to in-designer. LDers compensate for this by moving the water down half a tile from where we want it so that when it is later moved up in-game it is exactly where we want it. You did not compensate and you have ugly floating water that comes out and shows the straight lined sides and ew.
2. The aesthetics throughout the entirety of the level are near-nonexistant. Boring clouds. Boring things on clouds. Boring floating platforms. Boring blue bricks. Kinda eh.
3. THE NAME. The name does not fit the level at all. We aren't flying away from anything. This level has no flying at all aside from a Flying Shyguy and 2 Flying Koopas.

If I had to guess these issues showed up because you guys did not get your level tested before you published it. You just made something that is "possible" and published it.
This is really important so I'll just make it easier to see:

TEST YOUR LEVELS.

And don't test it yourself because you (the designer) are literally the worst person to test your level, you made it and know how to do everything which is a huge deal and makes it a lot harder for you to see flaws as opposed to someone who is completely blind to the level.

Well, don't forget that you're talking to Areaxis and not to this brother... okay his brother has a lot to learn. But you admit that the "leap of faith"-platform can be seen by zooming out, so there's no problem with that. However I've lol'd at the floating water.

One star is maybe a bit harsh ... But on the other side there's nothing to enjoy in this level, along with many flaws, so I give 1 star too.

And about the "have another one to test your level" thing: Good LDers are also good reviewers of themselves, and bad LDers are also bad reviewers of themselves (because if not, why do they make a bad level?) However, no matter how good you are, testing the level by yourself will always be sufficient to spot and fix bugs like the floating water.

Also sm63creator, why did you remove your avatar and sig? I've liked them :(

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

IMO, the platform with a big bully is not too much of a big deal, as you just have to jump on his head and knock him off. I didn't think it was frustrating at all.

However, must agree that this level lacks a lot of effort, and deserves 1 star.

Wow. You are entirely correct. I am just bad at this game. Still doesn't justify the decision to put it where it is though.

Back in 2012 I accepted them. Not now though. My mindset was that they will childish and looked bad and that nothing is probably better. *grumble grumble*. Something will be in to replace them eventually (2016 seems like a good year, yeah I'll try to shoot for that).
