After the Meteor
After the meteor struck Bowesr's Castle, Mario hoped to never return to that hell again. However, Mario will have to. There has been a Shine Sprite located in the rubble, and Mario must find it.

I took a look at your level, and here's what I think of it: First of all: I appreciate how you used the tiles there. It looks very nice. You could always try to add more tile combinations to give it a more colorful and beautiful aspect, but overall the graphics were great. The platforming was good too, and I liked to break the blocks and jump.

Unfortunately, there is one thing that ruins everything: the massive lag. You put a lot of enemies and Goombas in your level, so I had a very slow and painful experience, because of the massive lag they were causing. You should REALLY try to put less enemies if you don't want to face problems like this. Also, try adding level transitions, they help decreasing lag.

I would rate it 3 stars, but due to the massive lag and to the small size of the level, 2 stars is worth it. Note that 1 star is also a reasonable score.

If you don't want to recieve more 1 star ratings, try to improve using what I said here. You sure have the potential to have a 5 star level.

It was me to give the 1 star. I appreciate the tiling and the platforming, but sub 10 fps is a bit too much of lag. If you like using many enemies, make the level bigger and add enough transitions to avoid that amount of lag. In this case, transitions won't help because there are still too many enemies within (and a level with 55 tiles in length doesn't require a transition normally). It especially happens if enemies are falling from the air, like the mini-goombas in this case.

If you didn't notice before that your level lags, all I can say is test your levels. It's very important in general.

I admit that I've been stricter than usual with my last ratings, you can thank ovidiu2007 for that. I'm sorry. 1 star is reasonable with so much enemy spam, but I want to give you a hat tip for the improved tiling / platforming compared to your earlier levels, so I lift it to 2 stars.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.
