To be honest there's almost nothing which I like. A rather poor effort which can't even be called a remake considering the sparseness of scenery and the empty sky. Also it's not obvious where the level ends to the right; I've kept flying to the right expecting some more clouds and red coins, and I've died straight away. If I went to the left first, I would probably also have died because the shine sprite activation would only happen after landing.

1 star. There's really not much to this level. If there's a hint I can give you, spend far more time for your levels and actually care about making a level you would like yourself to play.

Rating standards: show
1 star: (0 - 5.75 in LDC) These levels need a lot of work. They're totally un-elaborated, and/or inherently flawed due to things like cutoff or enemy spam, or they're untested and there are too many bugs gameplay-wise, in short: Many many things went wrong in such a level.

2 stars: (6 - 9.75) These levels are not terrible, but poor. They're too short, lack scenery or they have errors and/or bugs but it's still barely enjoyable. Again, spend more effort and try to do better. (if it's your first level that I rate two stars, it's not bad. There's a long way you can still go)

3 stars: (10 - 12.75) These levels are about mediocre. They may be still a little bit short, the gameplay is fine but not very original and graphics are also solid, but not breath-taking. Try to keep improving!

4 stars: (13 - 15) These levels are nice, but not the best. Effort has been put into them, there can some professionality be seen in gameplay and graphics, they're a nice experience to play, but there are still things you can do to make it even better. Try to go the extra mile!

5 stars: (15.25 - 20) These are really great levels, those which, as said, I would give more than 15 in an LDC. These suffice many high requirements, and it already goes into subtleties if you want to make them better. These levels are successful all around. Bravo.

These are just general principles I try to follow when rating. Sometimes I don't leave a further comment when rating, most times I do, if you have questions about it, feel free to ask further.

I 100% agree with Supershroom. Also, there's a 99% chance that by looking in the wrong direction (oh right, there is no direction) that you'll just end up dead.
Schedule:

A ton of stray levels coming up these few months.
Continuing The Mushroom Games
Super Mario Journey canceled (Atleast delayed for a year or 2. Maybe a few months?)
Marios Journey coming back as soon as i finish some Stray Levels. and finish The Mushroom Games
New series coming out when I'm back to doing 1 series (When I'm continuing Super Mario Journey)
Doing Polls on boss levels/Series Beginners saying whether or not you would like to see more of it.

(IMPORTANT NOTICE: i will not be posting levels that much while school starts. I will try to make levels but it will possibly take a day or 2 just to get time to start one)

Arrows would have helped, I just fly to the right thinking that the next coin is there but there's just a void of nothing there. Not much else to say, but there was not even attempt to make a rainbow here. 1 Star, there just isn't anything to like.
Might be ready in a bit.

Hi there,

I could tell that it looks like you're trying to remake that really difficult Secret Star from Super Mario 64! Unfortunately, the level designer of SM63 has some limits regarding to wing cap challenges. Here's a few tips to keep in mind in the future:

1) It's really hard to maintain altitude (or your height). Every time you dive with the wingcap, when you come up again you definitely don't go back up to the same height that you dove at. So, wing cap challenges can be really hard! Try to make sure you have some way to help the player regain their height, such as putting in some warp pipes that go back to the top, for example.

2) Sadly, SM63 isn't 3D. It can be really hard to see where you're going in this level because you can only see so far. You can't see where the red coins are like the red coins in Super Mario 64. Also, because you can only go left and right in SM63, it's difficult to complete this level because you have to eventually go back and forth. Try putting signs to direct people to red coins, and ensure that when you do wing cap challenges that they only go in one horizontal direction (left or right).

3) When you land with the wing cap, unlike in Super Mario 64, you typically tend to slide a lot. This leads to you sliding right off the clouds that you try to land on to regain your balance. Try to make longer platforms for the player to land on, for example by using 2 clouds rather than one.

It looks like you were trying to make a difficult level and I can tell you that you definitely succeeded! Just remember: the player has never played your level before. Although you know where to go and what to do when you play your levels, the player doesn't. Try to keep this in mind; always try to help the player play your level!

I look forward to seeing your future levels,
